I dropped both internet and tv by Xfinity as my bill was $254/month! Now I have Quantum Fiber $60/month and over 900 mbps high speed (awesome) my tv is YouTube which gives me all the channels I need and more for $65/month. Loving 🥰 it all now plus I get all my sports and recordings

After many years of this, I CUT THE CORD 2 years ago. It improved my sisposition and lowered my blood oressure.

The only issue with this service is no local live TV. What I mean about live TV is ABC,CBS, FOX and NBC. Channel nine out of Orlando does have it's own streaming service for it,s news only. I use Sling TV for $35 per month here again NO major networks. If one was to look into the price of all the services out there,you will find the price is just about the same across the board if you want to watch the networks. Yes some folks can use a antenna to watch local TV stations. This does not work for everyone. It depends on your location.

No cord needed.
Most who "cut-the-cord" still use that "cord" for internet access to be able to stream.

Buy a Roku 4k off Amazon or Walmart if you prefer. It plugs into an HDMI port on your tv. (It comes with a voice remote and costs about $40 (one time purchase)
Register the Roku (you have to give it access to your Wi-Fi.)
On your phone or computer go to youtubetv.com (they have a 2 week trial and 3 month discount going). It will cost you about $70 a month with tax. Gets all local channels plus a ton of other stuff. The full list is on their website.
Once you open the youtubetv app on the Roku, follow the on screen instructions. There are tons of help faq’s on both Roku and YoutubeTV sites to help. It’s really easy.

Exactly! However you don't need a Roku box if you have a Smart TV. Almost every brand will have the YouTube-TV app in their "store". Free download and free trial. We found YouTube-TV to be very good alternative to "ComCrashed".
Soon Sattelite Broadband will be available. For the first few years your $80/mo internet bill will be only $40/mo as they try to build their customer base.

Since he was only paying $20 a month, it sounds like Arctic Fox has already cut the cord and was streaming his tv. I switched to Roku and Youtube TV a couple of years ago and love it.

When we purchased our home in TV last year, the only internet providers we could find were Xfinity and Centurylink. The top speed that Centurylink quoted for our home was 3 MBPS and since I was use to 1GBPS at my home in GA, that didn't sound like enough to handle a tv, my pc, and my wife's laptop all at the same time.

How would you rate the Centurylink service if you have multiple devices running?

I pay $40 for Tmobile internet. If you don't use their phone service it is a bit more. Check out the Magenta senior plan.

The $20 was an "introductory" rate for the first year (just lucky to get it as I have been with them for six years) but you can knock something off your bill by (1) going paperless for the monthly invoice; and (2) paying automatically through your bank (credit card costs more).
