I've been able to find stories about three deaths possibly related to the AstraZeneca vaccine.

I also found this story that says that the EU says that there has been no indication that blood clotting is linked to the vaccine.

About 55,000 people die each week in this country. March 8 marks about seven weeks since the vaccine was given. That means that about 385,000 people have died during that time. That's a bit over 1% of the total population.

A total of 9 million doses have been given to about 6 million people. One percent of those is 60,000.

Considering that most of the doses were given to people over the age of 65 one might think that the death toll from other causes would be a lot higher in that age group.

The 1637 deaths represents .00027% of the people that have been vaccinated. It's more likely that they died from causes other than the vaccine.

Does the CDC email state that the deaths were vaccine related?

Thanks to the preparation and planning by the previous administration, the US is sitting on 300 MILLION doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. We preordered lots of doses of all the vaccines in preparation for distribution as soon as possible...
