Muncle,

You must shop at the Southern Trace Publix. The woman you wrote about shops there on a daily basis. Everytime I get in the express lane she's there.

Hmmmmmmm ???? Wiw made me think of this....... is there some sort of a "Welcome Wagon" club or group that welcomes newbies to TV ?

TOTV does seem like an excellent way to extend hospitality to the newcomers (actual and prospective) but compared to the numbers of residents - it seems like only a minority participate online.

Coney, I hope I didn't discourage you or anyone for that matter. That was not my intention. I have made friends going to KB's and dancing with the girls. (hub doesn't dance, but enjoys watching and listening to some great music.)Please join us!! Every Fri. and Sat. there is a bunch of us dancing fools, getting exercise, laughing and getting acquanted. Have made some great friends there! I will welcome you personally!

Um, Ronda, how would we know you at KB's?

It does seem that unless you go with a member to many of the clubs, you're left standing on the sidelines. I think every club should have a welcoming table with a few members there to introduce you around. It just seems the way to do things.

ronda..... THANKS for the fun suggestion! I'm still a wannabee.

My choices for making new friends at TV would be the Learning College, the Fitness Center and the local swimming pool. I agree that it is most difficult to make new friends at "clubs" where people tend to get into cliques and (although not impossible) it is not easy to make NEW FRIENDS --it takes time.

Here's my pic. I'll be there in 3 weeks. Since I'm kinda shy in person feel free to grab my arm and drag me out on the dance floor.

There are always "established" groups of friends at clubs, town squares and neighbourhood pools. And there are always newbies looking to make new friends and join in. Some groups don't want you intruding on their space, but I've found most to be warmly welcoming. The swimming pool is a great way to socialize with new peeps.

The TOTV monthly luncheon at Crispers is a great way to meet newbies and friendly people. And sending private messages on TOTV to like-minded individuals will get you off to a good start.

With a tiny bit of effort, it is SO easy to meet great people in TV. lovehorse

Shopping carts left scattered all over the parking lot. Why won't people walk a few extra steps to push it to a cart corral or back to the store?
