Talked to my folks who live on Cape Cod and they expect 10 to 15 inches, or more, of snow with 50 to 80 mph winds. They are stocked up with supplies and have brought wood from the pile up to the back door.

Strange that they nor the rest of our relatives in New England appreciated my humor when I sent them an email entitled "Wanna Get Away" with the Friday thru Sunday TV weather forecast in it.

Ah Birdgeport! I have both good and bad memories from the 70's on my trips to Bridgeport to march in the Barnum Festival Drum & Bugle Corps Shows. I'll have to tell you about those incidents including my almost spending a night in the hoosegow once we finally get a chance to meet down here! Hopefully you'll be dug out by then.
Anyway, stay safe and warm Joe, and may your forecast of snow be an over forecast! The Villages Florida

I am less than 5 miles from the Barnum Museum and use to work at People's Bank in the corporate headquarters next door for nine years. Samll world.

Thank you for kind thoughts. I went to the library and got a very thick book as I think I am going to be hunkered down for the weekend. Thank goodness I live in a condo complex where they plow so I won't have to shovel.

Shoveling sunshine is better.

Seeing it is one thing, dealing with the effects are another! I would just as soon see it by watching Holiday Inn or the evening news.

my sympathies, 2b; and to all the others who cannot be here with us in the villages watching the hardship play out on television!

to those yet to make the grocery store run...besides the milk, bread and eggs - don't forget batteries and toilet paper!

Default Snow storm.....let it snow!

My family and friends are all near Albany, NY so they will be dealing with a lot of snow. I spoke to my 86 year old mom today and asked her what she thought of the impending storm.....she replied "let it snow, I have everything I need right here", so after all these years I guess it doesn't faze her any longer. Bless her heart!! I'm glad I'm here and not there...

Smile

I'm visiting TV from NYC. Scheduled to return to NYC on Saturday. Guess my stay in TV will have to be extended.
