That kind of ride is like the one going down to the Titanic. Stuff can go wrong very quickly and there are not a lot of options for a rescue.

but virtually silent re the SpaceX rescue mission to save the stranded ISS astronauts. yawn

yet another indication of the Media bias presented to their adoring public.

The stranded astronauts were covered all over the place and for many days. The women 11 minute or so journey into zero gravity was only covered over a few days. And one of those women is a prominent journalist.

Real astronauts do scientific work and research. ImHo, space tourists are no more astronauts than a baby on an airplane is a pilot. Also, a huge waste of $ and resources. Thrill ride. Wonder if they giggled and screamed Oh My Gawd!

Gayle King is a prominent broadcast journalist.

I would not call her and the women that went up with her astronauts though. That implies serious training in many areas. Years of training and service.

This ride’s hatch open was much longer than usual. Commentary was crew was taking time to compose themselves.

So guessing, either someone or more than one, could have had motion sickness, a panic attack, emotional distress, slight vertigo, nausea, or dry heaves.

The same effects that can be felt on Mission Space, some visitors are fine, or motion sickness, panic attacks, nausea, and one guest had an MI.

So millions of dollars could have been saved by taking the Blue O thrill riders to Disney.

They paid quite a bit to go up and I would expect that Jeff Bezos also used some of his fortune to make sure his girlfriend's ride went well.

Thanks for posting that link, although it made me nauseous to watch it.

Those women did nothing but put on a Neoprene suit and climb aboard. Did they train for weeks or months? No. Do they hold the advanced degrees necessary to be astronauts? No. It's annoying to hear Gayle King compare herself to Alan Shepherd. And the fact that they're all female has nothing to do with anything. The sooner I no longer have to hear about Oprah Winfrey and her sidekick, Gayle King, the better.

Oprah has done great work as has been richly rewarded for it.


On another note, I got my first and last speeding ticket in about 35 years while just outside the Van Horn, Texas city limits in 1996 on my way to Palm Harbor, Florida from Burlingame, CA. It looked like Bezos had purchased property already there.


I detoured quite a bit touring the Texas State Capitol Building and also circling thr Alamo a number of times. Very small building is the Alamo.

Gayle King was a news anchor for WFSB in Hartford, Connecticut, where she worked for 18 years. Hardly a "prominent journalist." Had she not befriended Oprah Winfrey, she'd probably still be working there.

Did this event impact my wellbeing, improve my health, or better yet find a cure for Cancer, an experiment to feed starving children in the US? NO

Those aboard could have been a HERO instead of Photo op for Women that have a healthy financial life.

Instead The Women could have put money to help Abused women and children.

That would make me proud of these Women instead of a couple hours of training and 12 minutes.

Even a dog, monkey added benefit, than this event

That was a glorified DEI passenger bus ride. There was no “crew” involvement on their part for the running of the mission. They even screwed up after the landing by opening the hatch from inside and were locked back in for the ground crew to open it. The icing was when Bezos did a face plant when scurrying around the capsule to see his gf thru a window after landing.
