I agree with you all the restaurants here in TV are not set up for the volume of take out orders. I am afraid that when restaurants are given the green light a few things might happen. 1) They will not abide by any social distancing rules. 2) People in TV will bitch and moan about the wait time/service. 3) People will not social distance themselves. 4) Virus cases will spike, again. Back to square one.

Perhaps they two events are an F but not TV. I have been amazed at the level of social distancing practices in TV compared to other communities. The horror stories my friends tell me co
In four of Ohio are unbelievable. 100% compliance is not going to happen. Clearly TV is much much more deserving then a F. |

Some see the glass as half full, while others see the glass as half empty. What I see is a half a glass of water. ??? Don't spill it. Last edited by fdpaq0580; 04-26-2020 at 07:46 PM. Reason: Add |

Shop at Publix. They wipe down all carts and tape on floor at registers 6 feet apart. One ways aisles while shopping.

The restaurant should be managing the line up . If necessary some children need an X marks the spot so they know what is 6 feet .

Another possibility: enough people will be too fearful of being a victim of a new spike, and refrain from patronizing all these places that re-open, that these places end up closing for good due to lack of revenue. Imagine Kilwen's re-opening day. Now ask yourself if you want to be one of those people there that day. If not that day - how about the next day. Surely a week later, everyone who was in a rush will already have come and gone, right? But - everyone who THOUGHT that will be lining up a week later. Do you want to be in THAT line? So you wait to see if there's a spike. That means you'll need to wait around another month. The last spike in Florida was 4/23, according to Experience. So on May 23, if there hasn't been a spike since 2 days ago, the coast should be clear. But if there's another spike next week, you have to reset and count a month from then. I would LOVE to go back to Kilwen's. But I already take a huge risk every single time I go to work. I don't know if I want to add *un-necessary* huge risks. Smaller ones like standing near someone at the postal station while we both get our mail, no problem. Shooting at the archery range, where you can only have 1-2 people every 6 feet because you can't share a target with more than that, not a problem at all. But standing in a crowded line, with no more 6-foot limits, in an enclosed space, where people are ordering, and paying for food, and changing their minds, and pointing out ice cream flavors to the server...cris-crossing and bumping against each other on their way from one end of the counter to the other? Not sure I want to risk death, no matter how much I like their ice cream. |

For me the saddest part of your story is that these people who are not wearing masks or observing the 6 ft rule are putting us all at risk. Since I took chemo my immune system is down. I have had to stay inside for the past four weeks. If I go out it is to the doctor and I have
cancelled or rearranged most of them. People complain when someone mentions that The Villages has many people who consider themselves "entitled" they say that we have worked hard for all those years, yada yada. This is all true, but it in no way gives us the right to do whatever we want to do. The Bible, the Koran, etc. all refer to loving your neighbor and treating them like you would yourself. Most people down here have some religious belief, even if they are not carrying them out right now. IMHO, we all need to wear masks, not for our own protection but for the protection of others. Put your darn mask on! If you can't find them for sale, Google them and see where you can buy them. |

The picture above shows some attempt at compliance. Taken from that angle and or time of day in no way represents the "large crowd" at 6:15 PM in front of the doors and into the street and the side patio! |

And beyond that, ONE larger than ideal gathering at ONE restaurant on a BOGO day, does not give ALL of TV an "F". Extrapolate much??????? ( Not you, BTK, the OP)

If title boxes were editable, I would have changed it long ago to something like "...too many at Red Sauce deserve an 'F'..." et al. I am usually quick to comment to those who extrapolate specific instances to a general condition. |

???? OP is talking about Villagers waiting in line. Those Villagers at Red Sauce on that day get an F for being stupid enough to not heed the 6 foot distancing and mask recommendations.
