Did he really get "jumped on", or did other members just post their opinions? I think that since it's a chat site, everyone should feel free to say whatever they think, as long as they're not criticizing the OP. If people start personally attacking the OP, rather than just disagreeing with his comments, the Moderators are quick to delete their posts and give them a warning. And if it continues, the Mods are really good about stepping in and closing the thread.

In this case, I think most people were just goofing around and having fun with the topic.

I so agree with Bare. Opinions were being given. OP cannot expect that no one would respond with personal opinions on the subject. No one drilled the OP into the ground.

When I make simple spelling mistakes it's because I'm concentrating so hard on the content of the message, not because I don't know how to spell those simple words. Usually, I will check everything over at the end but sometimes I don't have the time. Having said that, I have to confess that I'm not really a good speller on some of the longer words.

1. I make it a rule, to have my brain engaged before I type.
2. I also focus on content in what I am trying to convey, so the post makes sense.
3. I review my post for spelling and hit submit.
4. I then look at the post to see if I missed any spelling or punctuation mistakes.
5. Some people love TOTV so much, (like me), that leads to errors in posts when in a rush. Please forgive me.

I also realize that no one is perfect and every post can't be a Picasso.
