Cool We All Need to Vent

I would like to start a vent list. Those of you who have a pet peeve are asked to add yours to my posting. I will begin with a couple of my favorites.

The cost of razor blades; I find the cost of good razor blades to be
outragous !!!! For less money than I pay for a pack of two razor blades, I can go to the Marion Market and purchase a watch that will give me the time, day of the week and date. Also the watch will last three years and the blades only a month.

A second peeve of mine is trying to find the phone number in the Villages phone book for Lowes, Home Depot and hardest of all The Post Offices. I tried for an hour to find the listing of the local post office. I did not find any US government listings. When I did the number get via another resource, no one would answer the phone.

Thats enough fun for tonight !!!

Warren, who uses phone books these days when you have the WWW at your fingertips? All major chain stores have store locator features on their website with addresses, phone numbers & sometimes even maps.

For the Post office go to USPS.com, click on "Find USPS locations", enter the city & state for the branch you're looking for & then when the list of branches comes up click on the name of the branch & the next page will give you the contact info for that particular branch.

hope this helps.

I have many pet peeves. I'll start with the first one that came to my mind. It frustrates me when I get change back from a business and the person giving me my change doesn't count it back to me.

Another pet peeve of mine is when drivers try to skip line by pulling ahead of the end of the backed up traffic line and try to push their way into the lane. But of course they are more important than the rest of us who merged and are waiting our turns.

Shhuwee. Thanks. I feel better.

Bad grammar--esp by males--esp by law enforcement when they are giving TV interviews.

My grandmother told me if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. The outcome is people comment that they believe I had taken the vow of silence, that or I am a lousy conversationalist

I'm sick and tired of people venting all the time.

Vent to your friends so they can tell you to shut up, or walk away from you

OK, Mr. Costanza, are we celebrating Festivus in July this year? Is it time for the airing of grievances already?

Spitting. Hate, hate, hate it!!! I don't want to see your body excrements and I don't care if they come from your mouth or another orifice.

Gum chewing. I don't care how "politely" you chew, you look like a cow chewing cud.

I smoke. I'll do my very best to not send my smoke into your area. Be polite enough to stop the rude grimacing, waving of hands, etc. when you enter MY space.

aaaaah. A place to vent.
"A 17-year old is dead".....the prosecution says in the GZ trial.
As if we were not recruiting 18 year olds to go get blown up in the military.
The brain is not fully developed until about age 25 for males.
Youth are not known for using good judgment, and in my cynical opinion (IMCO), 18 may be military eligibility age for that very reason.

After your friends tire of it (and they will-lol)hire a shrink and pay them to listen to the BS, it's their job.

Why is it that some people are so tensed up all the time they fail to see the humor in most things. Sometimes I find it feels so good to just "relax" and smile at a posting meant to do just that to the readers.

I'm with Redwitch, hate gum chewing. And especially when they spit it out on the street, & I walk in it.

My all time peeve is leaving a grocery cart in the parking lot. Really, how long does it take to return it to the proper place.

I am really surprised how much this is bothering me and I know its a losing battleand it is happening all across the service industry but I will vent anyway...

What happened to the reply "You're Welcome" when I say "Thank You"

For instance...asking a waiter for another napkin... He brings it, I say "Thank You"
He says " No Problem" No problem??? Why would it have been a problem?

Rented a car after all paper work done and I get the keys, I say "Thank You Very Much"
and they reply "No Problem"

Really miss hearing..."You're welcome" "My pleasure" etc.

Thank for listening
