How could I have forgotten my all-time favorite favorite — The Vicar of Dibley. Every character in the cast.

When we see Lithgow as Winston Churchill in The Crown or a serial killer in Dexter, we can see what a brilliant dramatic actor he is.

But Lithgow’s comedic genius as Dick, the alien in his human form — as an arrogant, confused college professor — makes me laugh out loud. The rest of his “family” does, too.

And Mrs. Dubcek, their aging, horny landlady, with her cigarette holder and her tacky, exotic wardrobe is a classic.

I think 3rd Rock from the Sun has one of the best casts ever put together for a sitcom. And some of the topics will take you down memory lane to the 1990s.

Thanks for the question, OP. I am a fan of sitcoms, but there are not many good ones anymore. Young Sheldon is the only sitcom I watch now. I always liked Big Bang Theory, maybe because I know some people like those lovable, clueless geeks.

Yes, 3rd Rock (have you read the satyrical books Lithgow wrote on a certain political figure?).
Loved Taxi, brilliant cast.

Loved Mary Tyler Moore and whole cast. Genius writing.

So many really good sitcoms, not too much around now.

Jethro Clampett drives up in front of the mansion with a bunch of canines in the bed of the pickup. Jed ponders it for a bit and finally slowly says…

“Weeelllll dogies.” My quiet, soft spoken, never let anything ruffle his feathers father just about busted a gut. One of the fondest memories of my childhood.

And Elly May wasn’t bad either.

Yes, yes, yes. Charlie Sheen was better than Ashton Kutcher. LOVE that show.

Must be a British show. I looked it up on IMDb and it stars Dawn French.

Another vote for Barney! The show was never the same after Don Knotts left

And also another vote for “Denny, Denny Crane”
