I've lived or worked in a lot of different places and while I don't disagree with this survey, at least I knew what to expect driving in places like New York and New Jersey. The worst situation is not knowing what people are going to do and that's where driving in the midwest is most excrutiating. You end up with a combination of courteous and aggressive drivers and never know how to react.

The best drivers in the world? Germany. They follow the rules there and everybody knows it.

I saw someone just yesterday on 441 at the light in front of Walmart start to make a U turn, change their mind half way through it and BACK UP all the way into the straight lane with the light green!! I sat there and held my breath waiting for the crash. I believe they had an Ohio plate.

Very true. That's a pretty stupid way to judge the quality of the drivers. When I got my FL license I just had to turn in my old license. I didn't even have to study the Florida road rules. Also new rule shave been implemented since I took the written test 45 years ago. I might not even pass it today.

Hmmm.

I wonder if we should tell our grandchildren that...the ones learning to drive. Knowing the laws and rules of the road is stupid? It doesn't make you a good driver to know the rules and laws but it is a good way to start.

Maybe that is why some drivers consider a stop sign, a suggestion?

Another negative old thread resurrected for what reason? Everyone knows that The Villages has the worst drivers. That includes golf carts, cars, bicycles, motor cycles, scooters, hoverounds, and golfers.

I think the worst driver is the one you just had an accident with.

Of course Gracie, what are the two leading state represented in TV? I'll give you a hint, they both start with New....

Explains a lot, eh? And before you flame me, remember I'm in Kansas, and I'm number 1!
