I love my Chrysler van.

It is not new, I can't remember if it is four or five years old.

It is comfortable and roomy and we can carry all of seven immediate family members if we want too.

It has air conditioning in the front and a control in the back.

We have room to drag a bunch of stuff to The Villages and a bunch of other stuff back to Ohio.

It is comfortable for our two kitties, Harry, Hershey and Mikey when we go back and forth.

I like to keep it tidy and shining and I think it is comfortable to drive.

I see a lot of new cars in TV. I see a lot of really posh expensive cars in TV, too. I see a lot of those really cute, bright colored cars that look like boxes.

But I love my van.

The Traverse makes my life comfortable. There is a T and a V in the name and I think that was a sign to move to The Villages! We thought the Traverse would be paid off by the time we were 60. And that was the year to move to the Villages. BUT situations have changed and we may be still paying on it when we move BEFORE we are 60 !!! We are hoping to both be 57 by March , sell the house and get on with our dream life of TV !!

So it is our connection to TV. I enjoy the heated seats for the cold weather we have NOW! There will be room for 7 . I will want to have visitors in from time to time and be able to take them places. We had three minivans over the years and this is a crossover. It is also able to pull small travel trailors if we had one. But it does pull our boat !!

I drive a Mini Cooper. Not only is it great on gas, it is small and easy to manover. Although it doesn't fit between the poles that lead to the golf paths, I feel as if I am still driving a golf cart...except it has air conditioning and heat.

I love my '07 Camry hybrid. It's comfortable and roomy with a big trunk for 2 golf bags plus luggage and "stuff", but gets 33-38 mpg, depending on time of year and type of driving. I love the push-button start and that you don't hear a sound (because it's operating on battery) when you first put it in gear and go. I love the keyless entry. I love that I've never had had a moments trouble with it (knock on wood).

I love my 2007 Prius. I think it looks great, and I love the following;

50 mpg....YEAH!
A lot of pep!
The cool multi function display, with even a back up camera.
The tons of room it has. I can get 10 foot pieces of pipe, lumber in it no problem.
I like the bluetooth......when I get a cellphone call, the car rings and you talk through the car without ever even touching your cellphone.
I like the mirror having garage door buttons on it, so you do not need a remote to open your garage door.

Did I mention 50 miles per gallon?........haha.

I also like my 4 wheel drive jeep grand cherokee for the snowstorms we get up here outside of Buffalo.....but I will not need it much longer. It will stay in NY, while I become a full time Floridian!

I love my Chrysler Town and Country van, too!
It will be 6 years old in January and has 116,000 miles on it. We travel back and forth quite a bit from West Lafayette, IN to Raleigh, NC where our 2 daughters and their families live.
I love the van for similar reasons as Gracie's...very comfortable to drive, AC and heat dual controls, lots of cargo space with the 'stow and go' seats, plenty of passenger room, I like being a bit higher up while driving for better vision of the road and since it was my choice to buy a minivan...I LOVE hearing my husband tell me what a great vehicle it is and that it is perfect for us!!!! I also love that is it paid for!
By the way, what color of vehicles do you all own? Mine is red.
We will be buying another minivan for our next vehicle and that should be the one that we have in TV. Raised 3 kids and FINALLY got our first minivan after the youngest was out of the house! Don't think we're alone in that, tho! Saw quite a few minivans in TV when we were there in May.

I always had a truck and it moved us here, served its purpose well. Now Life has changed...
We bought a 2007 Prius as well. I love it for all the above reasons plus the color reminds me of the sky and hubby's eyes.
My Grateful Dead dancing bears look cute on the back.
It's fun to drive. We make a game out of who saved the most gas.
The back seat folds down for a nice perch for Mr Yacksters.

My car is fine.... an 07 Camry with only 25K miles on it, but, I love my golf cart more!!! Put more miles on the golf cart than the car. It's my Florida convertible.

Love my Nissan Maxima with a sunroof. I bought it used with 89K miles on it and has gven me no vitual trouble. I separate my cost on my vehicle from maintenance which no one can get around and to when something actually breaks.

It gets me from point A to point B and that is my benchmark for a good vehicle. It's also paid for. I love that it has enough pep and handles extremely well. I love the fact that it has a lot of glass for seeing what is around you.

It is called a full size car but to me, it is an intermediate size as I remember the days when a full size car was pretty big and could seat 6 or 7 people.

I hope to be driving around TV with my Maxima.

Speaking to our "winter vehicles": (we've never been able to bring ourselves to subjecting nicer/newer cars to the road salt in OH) - - -

- Sandy's Blazer: She's always been absolutely in LOVE with the thing as it handles so great in the winter, having all-wheel drive. It always gets her back and forth to where she wants/needs to go.....only left her stranded once, at work due to a dead fuel pump (a fairly common malady on these). Given that it's 14 years old with 220k+ miles on it, that's pretty good. But this thing's starting to wear us out with expenses - fairly common stuff that will always fail/wear out over time. But as long as she's still loving it, I guess we'll keep throwing money at it to keep it going!

- My Civic: I've only had this about 7-8 months - happened across it via a friend this past spring so we snapped it up, knowing it would be a great "winter vehicle" for me (my previous winter car got creamed - read: totaled - in March compliments of a left-of-center driver). I only started driving the Civic regularly about a month ago. Wouldn't you know it - we whacked a deer (a big ol' buck) last night about a mile from our home. Wonderful. Actually, he plowed into us! Did the deed on the entire right side of the car - everything's damaged from stem to stern............but it's still fully functional and driveable. The right side's just pretty well boogered up. Oh well. And sorry about our luck - fairly inexpensive car to start with so I opted to not put collision or comprehensive coverage on it. Bummer. But........it'll still do great for a wintertime vehicle! It's just gonna look pretty goofy with all the dents on the side! It WAS a really nice little car!

I am so looking forward to test driving one of those....but up north here they never get them in, so I need to wait until I am back down there. I can totally justify having one of those when we become full tile Floridians this next year.

I do not want to go off topic, but I'd love there to be a Prius club in the area, like many places have. I frequent PriusChat, and I am looking forward to seeing the new bigger Pruis V next year.

Ha! Nope - I about tossed the car in the ditch on the left side of the road in an attempt to miss him. Sandy got an "up close and personal" look at the perp - the antlers whacked the windshield right in front of her face! No broken glass though....fortunately!
