Check the number of bills Nancy Pelosi got passed compared to the number passed under John Boehner's leadership. Boehner can't even keep his own caucus in line. Just read on Twitter that David Drier-R CA, another high profile republican congressman announced his retirement today, a day after Senator Olympia Snowe R-ME announced her retirement. And Bob Kerrey will run for Senator Ben Nelson D-NE seat. Two pick-ups and a hold for the democrats in 2012.

Isn't it sad testimony to the low quality of politicians who are capable of becoming Speaker and third in line for POTUS.

Certainly underscores politics rules NOT quality or capability.

Good Point. I am glad that Nancy got so many bills passed! We would never know what is in them otherwise!

I hope she would be able to do that since she had all three branches of the government on her side.

But the reality is that quantity is a far cry from quality.

She was in it for her and her husbands gain and all the crazy lefties in San Francisco.

Glad she was replaced and Boehner is just trying to keep his scalp with all the different things he is having to deal with, dem senate and far left white house, tea party. I am not surprised he can't get anything done.
I don't think that passing as many bills as you can has anything to do with determining if someone is good at this job.

I am glad to see that notlongnow agrees that the Tea Party is a hinderance to government.

As long as you understand that I think with this bunch of jokers, (That was not the first choice of names to call them), in Washington we need as many things as possible to get in the way of "government".

If you think that it is only the Tea Party then in the way, so sad for you.
