Default I am just Saying

How about the 9 % national sales tax on everything bought new EXCEPT

anything MADE IN AMERICA. That might help with bringing jobs back to us from overseas. It would be a kind of twist on an import tax.

The 9 percent national sales tax REPLACES other taxes. Not directed to the folks who have read the 999 plan, or listened to Herman Cain discuss the 999 plan, but some of the others have just twisted about everything they can to make it fit their agendas.

The main thing about the 9% national sales tax that I like is that it flushes out the underground economy. Gang Banger want to buy a new $500 pair of sneakers with drug money, FINALLY they get in the tax base etc.

I hope Herman Cain doesn't bow to those who want him to eliminate it. It is an important part of the plan.

Herman Cain wil have my Florida Primary Vote.

I believe the point here, is that the national sales tax will NOT replace the state sales tax. Therefore, sales tax will be in the double digits for most folks. Cain does not dispute this fact....

As I remember from the most recent debate, he called his 9% ORANGES and the individual state taxes APPLES.

Maybe I misunderstood . . .

But wouldn't this encourage states to lower the sales taxes to encourage business?

NO....most of them are already bankrupt! Most [not all] are in worse shape than the federal government, in terms of spending and deficits.

Illinois can't even pay their bills now...story in the Daily Sun a few days ago...

.... there is no way it will be Herman Cain if he tries to campaign on this platform. Watch how far the GOP members of Congress who are running for re-election stay away from Cain if he continues to press forward with this plan.
If Herman Cain wins the nomination, it will not be because of the single platform plank of 9-9-9 taxation replacement plan. It will be because of the man of integrity that he is.

It will be because overall, he is not a liar, swindler, imposter, nor weiner

Yes, you are right, but the Lamestream media is going to concentrate on this issue only. Of course he would be great for America. He is the polar opposite of Obama. He is honest, hardworking, has USA in his best interest, has executive experience, has no hidden agenda's etc.

Herman Cain is an interesting guy, but I doubt he will get the nomination, much less elected. His own mouth will be his undoing....electric fences, you're not rich, your problem... I know, he was joking, so he says. The joking excuse is just a little too convenient. ...and we all know, every joke has some element of truth...right?

When you're a CEO, you can say pretty much anything you want. As an elected official, it takes a bit more restraint.

Just my opinion... I like him, but no chance.

So the media can hand-pick a few phrases from Cain to defeat him and ignore all of Obama's 20 year association with the race-baiter anti-America Rev. Wright and get elected. Please.

As you know, it's all about how you say it. The words came out of Cain's mouth and he defended them... You can't tick off the voters and expect to get elected...

Like it or not, you don't hear our current President making these sorts of statements...

Obama will face Romney. The Christian Right may stay home.
If unemployment shows a downward trend next year, don't count Obama out. I hear that he has a billion dollar war chest.

Do you Republicans really want someone who can't do the math?
Cain is the Republican flavor of the month.

Reverend Wright is ancient history.
