Also, Bush's inauguration had an estimate of 200,000 people attending. They are preparing for ten times as many i.e. 2 million people to attend the historic inauguration of Obama, and the bulk of the $150 million is for security.

You seem to be hung up on this inauguration story...the point that was being made was about how the media has sold out to President Obama in every way and we have thus lost what is supposed to be the group that keeps everyone honest.

It was not all about the inauguration cost, but that story is indicative. Most of the cost of Bush's inauguration was paid by private gifts as I recall !

But, again the point is that the media is totally bias at this point. Will never forget the day or so after the election, hearing Chris Mathews say he had an obligation to see "this guy" suceed as if this "obligation" did not exist for any past presidents !!!

You just can't believe what you read or see on TV as it is so biased as to be on the fine line of being fraudulent. They take words out of context, show things how they believe vs reporting the news and information in an unbiased manor. I was not a Sarah Palin fan until I saw how the media didn't tackle Caroline Kennedy the same way. Remember how Palin had no experience? And Caroline has done what? They are such a bunch of useless information twisters that I have stopped using them completely. Let them go out of business. I hope everyone cancels their subscriptions.

Headline from today... how typical.

"Bush's quiet goodbye - TV networks barely cut away from plane crash coverage long enough for the president's farewell."

Given they put us in this mess, do we really need congress to put our country in dept to the tune of trillions of dollars just because they says so? There are other ways...

Default Speaking of ho-hum....

I have said time and again I will wait and see what he does. That I will measure what he does the first year. I don't expect everything to be fixed in year one. I do, however, expect progress.

The ho-hum is the constant barrage from Obama, his staff and the media about how bad it is, how it is going to get A LOT WORSE and will take longer to fix than promised. And please don't try to pass it off as he finds things worse than he thought....or he is only telling the truth...keep in mind he, like ALL the others is a politician first....it is nothing more than managing expectations.

Fixing any problem begins with a plan and at least some good news to give HOPE.
Maybe that will start after today...eh?

The reason why he is setting expectations so low and so long is because he knows the bail outs won’t work and in fact will prolong the recession. The bail outs aren’t designed to stimulate the economy, they are designed to gain more eventual control over the private sector.

There is no message of hope, growth, opportunity and faith in the American spirit or our propensity for ingenuity and entrepreneurship.

I can’t imagine Reagan ever sending a message like Obama’s to the American people. Reagan took us out of a very bad recession and he didn’t have to do it with multi-trillion dollar bail outs.

What we need is more well armed lambs contesting the vote.
