I'm talking about how the post originally said the woman got over $600K. Then, after I pointed out inflation, the claim went down to $550K. Then I went to look at the actual CPI numbers, from which COLA increases are computed - back-computed what the first social security payments would be based on the $1500 claim from today and came up with a number more like A THIRD of what was claimed.
THAT's why I'm asking about it. I'm just curious as to where the numbers came from.
