Only one mention of race was made, buy the dispatcher, as to whether the suspect was White, Black, or Hispanic. It is obvious that Mr Gates was the only one, with his racist tirade, that caused any problem.

If you now think that the dispatcher was a racist, consider whether when you had to call the police, would you want the police looking for a Black man, when a blue eyed blond just held you up at gun point? That would hardly be called racist or racial profiling.
Do you really think the truth and the facts matter? The only thing important now is how this can be spun to make Pres. Obama's remarks as a commentary with value. Does the phrase "silk's purse from sow's ear" come to mind?

So, the 911 caller did not mention race nor was it an issue for her. The police say that race was not an issue in the situation. So who mentioned race ?

The only folks who mentioned race were the professor and the President !

Again, I am very disappointed that the invitation was accepted to the WH under the circumstances that the President and the professor want to, and have said they want to, use this as a "lesson" on profiling even though profiling was never an issue !!!
Bucco, I agree with you 100%. I still have hope the cop does not show up at WH. Obama showed his true feelings with that statement he made. Making his feelings very clear without knowing what the hell happened.

He may not have much choice, He lives in a very blue state, in an exceptionally blue city, and to not go will make him more notorious where he lives and works. I'm sure, whatever happens, he will handle it with class.

Steve: If he handle it with class it would be a first for him. You know like the
Special Olympics remark he made. What do we expect from the 51st ward of Chicago ?

Default Cops not to vote for Obama again

The white policeman who arrested Gates is invited to White House to have a beer. He better make sure it isn't spiked with Kool Aid.

Thumbs down We are talking really Stupid!

Its really hard to believe any President or for that matter any elected official (even a mayor) could make such a stupid stupid comment. Can't believe he thinks drinking a few beers with the two will make people forget what he really thinks about the police who were called to the scene!

This is all too reminiscent of the falsely accused Duke lacrosse players, their trial in public by the president and faculty of Duke, their expulsion, the coach's firing, etc. Somehow the apologies were never delivered by each person in a full-page ad as the accusations were. Imagine that.

Reverse racism is the accepted norm among those who regard themselves as the intellectual elite.
