Wow---is that 80 or 100 proof Kool-Aid you're drinking?

If you go back to the postings when this occured, you will see my predictions that the family would receive a mulit-million dollar payout. This happens in Baltimore. One man was given the same type of "rough ride", was left a quadriplegic and received a $39 million settlement.

Should all the 6 officers go to prison? No, just the driver on the charge of "depraved heart murder". Maybe the sergeant, too.

Police are not above the law and days of roughing up suspects just to teach them a lesson not to mess with police should have been over many years ago.
Freddie Gray was a total scumbag ... and created havoc over a long criminal career.

His death was an accident ... not "murder" as anyone with a brain can see.

Baltimore is corrupt, lawless and a sewer. The major is a JOKE ... the personification of an educated idiot. The state's attorney is worse ... she should have her law license pulled.

Basically, the police in Baltimore should go on strike in those neighborhoods that have high crime rates and, likewise, hate the police. I mean ... let the citizens duke it out sans police protection. When the citizens finally protest to have police coverage restored, and maybe burn a few buildings down to proven their sincerity, then reinstate it.

The man had his hands handcuffed in back of him. He was put into the all steel paddy wagon with no seat belt. The driver took sharp corners, swift stops, and all the aspects of a rough ride. Gray was bounced around the back of the paddy wagon. The fatal spinal cord injury happened as a result. Department rules stated this would not be done. Prisoners were to be strapped in place on the seats.

How was this an accident?

Also, Gray was arrested illegally without any probable cause. The knife he was carrying was deemed to be legal.

Comments, please. Check out all my statements and tell me where the facts differ from what I stated.

I'm sick of all this crap ... the police should go on strike. I've had it and so have a lot of others. Stop splitting hairs while the rest of the civilization slowly unwinds and begins to crumble.

So, what parts of my post did you prove were inaccurate? Did the Baltimore police do anything wrong in putting a man with his hands cuffed in back of himself and put in the wagon (not strapped on the seat) and deliberately bounced all around the steel interior of the wagon? The rough ride caused the fatal spinal cord injury. This was against police procedures in Baltimore.

What hairs are being split?

An amazing post. So unless a lawsuit is filed, nobody can reach an agreement to avoid litigation. So if parties agree to a contractual settlement it's not legal? This type of agreement happens every day!

The lack of intelligence of posters on TOTV is literally amazing!!!! But then again, it's "to the best of my knowledge", which isn't saying much, of the person who made the post.

This is why "guest" is appropriate for these threads.

I have suggested more than once that the Political Forum members get together in person over a beer for a meet and greet. This idea has been struck down by other posters.

I agree, you made an "amazing" post
Why pay $6.4 million to avoid litigation that is capped under Maryland law at $400,000 unless there is some political motivation or unless Baltimore is just rolling in cash and needs to give it away?

The phrase "to the best of my knowledge", refers to the fact that nobody can know everything independently and has to rely on other sources

And your response of " which isn't saying much, of the person who made the post. " makes me ROTFL. I have a certified IQ of 178, so like the ad says, "What's in your brainpan?" In your case I would say "Ignorance is bliss", but this is a complete misquote. What Thomas Gray wrote was "WHERE ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise", and wisdom has nothing to do with the utter nonsense you have been posting.

So instead, I'll leave you with a quote from the spokesperson of the Organians in Star Trek, TOS episode 26, "Errand of Mercy"----"The mere presence of beings like you is intensely painful to us", so for me, ending this post is like taking a potent narcotic analgesic. Good night and good riddance .

Dear Guest: The police arrested for this alleged crime will never get a fair trial and the reason I referenced a change of venue. Its clear from the comments coming from the community leaders that they are guilty as charged, I mean, the trial a mere formality, after all only black lives matter.

The taxpayers are going to eat the entire $6.4 million.

The Five featured a Buzzfeed video wherein five guys in civilian clothes reappeared in police uniforms and began to mock and insult police officers and policing. Displays such as this video and those videos depicting the mutilation of unborn babies mirror the progressive absurdity. As one columnist said "Can you imagine that the only time this baby was picked up was to cut through his/her face to get to the brain. Shades of Nazism And don't for get gender is irrelevant so we can dispose of the he/she his/her altogether try xr xe...madness pure madness..Thanks SCOTUS

Carly, Ben Ted your looking better and better. McConnell, Boehner your going down for the count. and, Hillary, Bernie you will be a footnote in history as even the more disengaged voter is recognizing the absurdity of progressive leadership and the damage it has wrought...and now we learn that Obama's Team held back, altered or plained lied regarding intelligence reports on the activities. size etc of ISIS. Has there ever been a more lawless and reckless president as Obama? I think not...but then Obama was built in the living room of Bill Ayers so what should voters have expected

If we have to pay out 6 million bucks to every scumbag's family in order to get rid of them, we are going to go broke fast. And the lazy family, that should have taught these scumbags better are going to benefit from it.

So, you are in favor of the cops giving rough rides to handcuffed prisoners that result in fatal injuries?

Of course not, but there is no proof, at this time, that was what happened. And remember, the other scumbag in the back of the van FIRST told police he thought Gray was intentionally trying to hurt himself. His story only changed when he learned of the controversial nature of the event and probably was thinking of how he could benefit himself

Interesting how easy it is for some to believe the worst in our law enforcement. But, they also scream about how slow they might be responding when they have an emergency. Some folks will jump on a known scumbag's bandwagon in a heartbeat. Scumbags get memorials built for them and their dysfunctional families get rich off of their deaths.
