Default Hillary to replace Joe as VP ????

When Joe Biden recently said Hillary would be a better choice for VP, I looked at my wife and said, "It's begun. The democrats are scared to death Obama's going to lose it and they are setting the table for Biden's exit."

The blogs, conservative and liberal, are alive with chatter that it will happen in October. Obama, Clinton and the dems, have to figure out how not to make it a decision driven by the meltdown of the campaign and how to make it look like Obama's first big decision was not a bad one, especially after their attacks on McCain for Palin.

The possibilities are boundless and certainly make this the most important and interesting election in my lifetime. I'd like to keep the thread on what the Obama-Clinton team will do to election dynamics. Interestingly, many bloggers on the right hope it happens. Will it happen? What do you think?

Will Joe have a mysterious malady which can be linked to being over-65, causing him to reluctantly pass the baton to Sen. Rodham-Clinton and simultaeously "oh, by the way" showing that America should have younger people at the helm than those whose qualify for senior citizen discounts "for the sake of the country" ? ? ?

That would be extraordinary theater and worthy of an Oliver Stone novel. That being said, nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to either politics and baseball.

This wouldn't surprise me in the least. One marxist and one socialist. Scary thought.

Steve. Agreed but at least in baseball you know who's on first.

Where, when did you hear Biden say this? I'm looking for "real" information on this one. www.factcheck.org doesn't have it. www.snopes.com doesn't have it. I'd really like to find this one. (Sorry, not on a blog. Perez Hilton has a blog but that doesn't make everything he says true.) Biden may have said she would have been a good choice, but better....?

How about that old grey liberal lady herself.....The New York Times.
Of course many would argue that the paper is nothing more than a way liberal Democratic blog.

I saw Biden on the news stating that he wasn't the best choice and that Hillary would have been a stronger choice. There's no BS about this one. I had the same thought. Joe's on his way out and Hillary is waiting to replace him.

This is being done on purpose. Democrats are feeling the heat with Palin and believe they will now lose the election unless they choose Hillary.

So it really isn't about change, then is it? It is just about winning, as always!

Angry How much time does Obama have to change his running mate?

I would think that there would be time constraints and how much time Obama has to change his pick for Vice President with the various paper ballots and all the bureaucracy involved with the November 2008 election. Does not anyone remember the hanging chads?

If a Vice Presidential pick gets seriously ill or otherwise incapicitated I can understand changing your horse when you are almost at the other bank but this would really confuse a lot of voters if a Presidential candidate can just write someone else in at the last minute??

Are you people kidding? The heat of Palin???? I don't think so. Palin's fizzling out. Although I would love to see Hillary on the ticket, I really think this is a stretch. But if it does happen, more power to Obama!

If Obama changes his V.P. at this time it would be just one more example of the indecisive leadership that he is calling "change".

I do agree he will be good at change, he has displayed his ability to do so whenever it is politically convenient.

I am so disappointed, I really wanted him to be the breath of fresh air that we need so desperately, but he is just another politician.

That's great, I am going to have to remember that one.
