It doesn't matter if President Obama is black, brown, white, yellow or pink. He is on the right side of the issues, republicans are not.
You DID read and listen to the first post ? THAT was the premise of the thread....that he cannot lose the black vote no matter what...well, the premise is not important to you, I see so lets just move on !

You are talking about things that do not even come into play in this thread....should not have even responded

Your questions is "Is it not racist to vote for or against someone based on his skin color"? I answered your question very factually that people won't be voting for or against President Obama based on his skin color but because he'
s on the right side of the issues. Is my argument too strong for you?

I couldn't agree with you more!

Note to Bucco -- yes, of course, there is racism on both sides. (Operative word being "both".)

I have to tell ya, I'm lovin' the cereal killer thing! HEY! Wait a minute! I had some Coco Puffs go missing the other day!!! Do you think.....???

Suck it up brothah's! Obama's going to win. The Republicans don't even have a candidate!

No matter what the topic (skin color, what they call themselves, racism, etc.) we are so lucky to have these fine conservative men and women to attempt to put free-thinking women and men in their place. This forum is even more fortunate to have fine free-thinking liberal women to prevent that from happening! Nice job ladies. I just love free-thinking women.

YET....those you refer to NEVER EVER discuss issues facing this country. They respond only when there is race or something personal involved.

SOMEONE, SOMEDAY has to face the actual issues facing this country. NOONE is being put "into their place" although come to think of it, that is a very famaliar phrase that I heard from the same side of the fence in 2008.

I have always enjoyed discussing issues involved in politics...NEVER enjoyed discussing those personal and family issues. It appears that cannot happen here. YES, I am opposed to the current administration, because they do not tell the truth, they are mysterious, they are motivated by POLITICS ONLY, they pander at the lowest level. Having said that, I have also spoke in a positive about this administration at times. I NEVER hear those you applaud talk about real issues, and have ONLY heard them cheer 100% of everything this administration has done.

Thankfully, I have honest, hardworking friends, etc. who enjoy open and honest discussion of issues facing this country and do not vote blindly, who learn from discussion on the issues, who do not idolize any political figure and certainly never even consider that one particular party has all the answers because that is ludicrous at best although, based on posts, feel exactly that way.

The polarization in this country is because of those you applaud; the fact that I oppose this administration does not make me any of the names that those folks you applaud throw around. I feel strongly about what I feel, BUT I listen, but I do not listen to snippy comments aimed at individuals or parties, but will listen to anyone who can discuss the issues that need to be resolved and cannot be resolved with blind loyalty

the dems didn't have a candidate in 2008 and they seem to have been able to pull it off.

"The dems didn't have a candidate in 2008". Your post makes absolutely no sense. What do you call Senators Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, and John Edwards, Governor Richardson and Congressman Kusinich?

You probably meant to say the republicans have no candidate in 2012.

y'all don't like it much when the same cut is taken against your folks.

I only applied the same logic you all use where it does not matter who is running the cutting commentary is no different.

Doncha hate one way streets?

I think the best description of the Republican candidates this season has been "like a bunch of clowns that just keep coming out of the little car."

This thread is getting super idiotic with no intelligence evident, so this post is "closed" for me. Have fun children.

As an American President once say, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

Good advice.

I have edited a post to reflect my view of how it should read to be accurate.

Original:

"...I think the best description of the Republican candidates this season has been "like a bunch of clowns that just keep coming out of the little car."..."

The more accurate phrasing:

I think the best description of ANY political candidates for any office, any season is "like a bunch of clowns that just keep coming out of the little car.

Please stop wasting your time and keystrokes trying to convince any lucid person that a certain following of politicians are anything other than what they ALL are......me first politicians.

There is absolutely no distinction other than the R or D designation. There are no degrees of clownness.
