Anyway,

OK, I have to leave in a minute, but I just have to say this before I go.

First of all, I still have no idea who I am going to vote for. I have been in and out of the closet so may times, I cannot count them. I don't see myself in either one. But that is not what I want to say.

What I want to say is that I love it when Muncle writes stuff in that Muncle style of his.

IloveitIloveitIloveitIloveitIloveit.

Keep writing Muncle and making me laugh and pretty soon I will just vote for whoever you tell me to vote for.

OK?

Boomer
I agree with Boomer. I ALWAYS agree with Boomer. Muncle is clever, and funny and crusty and B A D. But in a nice way. I like Muncle.

I don't know who I am voting for either. But Sarah Palin is going to be in view of MY HOUSE in West Chester on Friday. She is cute. Even if I don't totally agree with her. I am kinda excited she is gonna be right there on OUR square. But I have to drag clear over to Hamilton to get Tickets. I guess I will just go look out of our daughter Helene's room with binoculars, unless the secret service doesn't like people using binoculars.

Girl, what are you thinkin'?

GRACIE! Do not scope out Sarah Palin from an upstairs window!!! Please Gracie please. These people are highly trained!!!

Sarah had her people call my people this morning. Well, actually Mr. Boomer answered the phone and a recording talked to him. They wanted to invite us. I think they still have that doctored up picture of W and me.

I don't think they will mind as long as they are not "attached" to any other instrument....just leave the window curtains WIDE open so they can have a clear view of you....wouldn't want to alert them and have all those young secret service agents storming your house...

Well....that could add some excitement to ones day....

I am going to be voting for McCain, but let's face it, the difference between the Dems and GOP is that the Dems are tax and spend and the GOP are borrow and spend.
Oh, and by the way, the son of William F. Buckley, Jr. is Christopher Buckely. I guess he got bounced from the NR.

Much talk in the past few days of Christopher Buckley and his announcement of his plan to vote Dem.

A time or two somewhere on here, I have referred to Christopher Buckley's book Boomsday. It was published about a year ago.

Boomsday is a satire about how the baby boomers are reaching SS age and threatening the system with collapse.

So anyway, in Christopher Buckley's book, because of the threat of those pesky aging boomers on the nation's economy, the government comes up with a plan. Why yes, a government plan.

The plan is that the baby boomers will be offered tax incentives to do themselves in at a certain point.

So that's the plot of Boomsday. It has probably hit paperback by now. Gee, I wonder if he has sold the movie rights to this satire yet.

Let's see, hmmmm, if he did by now sell the movie rights to Boomsday, I wonder how long it will take to hit the big screen. Really reaching the masses with, oh I don't know, a thought or two, maybe. Oh my! Could such an idea ever really take hold? The timing could be all too.....

In the book, the idea for dealing with the threat of the boomers actually started as a blogger's satire to make a point about how somebody needed to address the issues with Social Security. The blogger was writing satire. She was kidding. She met a power hungry politician. (please pardon the redundancy in that description) Anyway, the politician takes the idea and runs with it -- yeah, he runs with it.

And, yes my name is...

Boom.

You know John Boehner is from West Chester and for many years, just lived across the back from us, only a creek separated their property from ours and he and his wife were friends of ours, actually still are, but we rarely see them. We have film of him at our daughters wedding. It was a real strange but nice feeling to see him sitting three down from the president in the bailout meeting. Now John is someone I would vote for for president without hesitancy. I do not mean to be name dropping. It is funny how people you know become people everyone knows. One of the benefits of age I guess.

Default Veteran and Republican

In my earlier years in the Air Force I converted to GOP, RR treated us well with a nice raise and we gained respect globally. Today, our status is questionable but are troops are still #1. Locally, the GOP has caused me to run for the hills, I like being Indepependent, no knock out on last debate makes this a tough decision. God Bless us all!!!

Respectfully,
