You should not assume!

I voted for Bush, both times, and like many of you (or many of you should with Obama) I had buyers remorse when it comes to the economy.
I am glad he was there for 911 or else we would all be bowing down facing Mecca 5 times a day by now.

And good God! Is all you guys got for a come back is "what about Bush?

He is not the Pres. Your guy is and he is "forking" it up big time.
The difference I can admit my guy "forked" it up and you can't!!

I'm sorry if I seem to be picking on you, but for someone who dishes it out with abandon....................

You know everything is still Bush's fault.

Did you read where the deficit doubled in the past year?

As expected the Democrats blame this on Bush's recent visit to the White House.

That is funny. How can President Obama get out of this debt problem without the help of the Republicans in Congress? Seems like someone is putting holes in the ship President Obama is trying to steer out of all the deep red water. I cannot see how a President Mitt Romney can do any better though with his plans to build up the military so much which will also create even deeper debt waters. And, then we will have the Democrats in Congress putting holes in the ship captained by Romney.

It seems Obama has been in many rooms, many times, in the company of people who possessed a fork. Why at this gathering, were the forks confiscated?

I don't know the answer. If I was one of the assembled group of Latino's waiting for their honored speaker, I would be wondering.

I knew you'd like it. What's more important than a guy who's courting the Latino vote to demand all these Latinos relinquish all sharp objects before he'll enter a room with them.

It's also clear he singled them out as he's never done this before. Do a Google search and see if that's not the case.

I am so thrilled that every post of mine garners such personal attention from you that I become bigger than the story.

You are such a gallant defender against all my posts that might show The Anointed One in a bad light.

Maybe he'll send you a free bumper sticker if you continue your crusade against these negative stories.

If you read the article in Politico, you will see that this is a decision made by the Secret Service, not President Obama. The policy, as is explained in the article, is when the president is seated at the dais, as he is at the White House Correspondents Dinner, these restrictions do not apply. However, when the president is mingling with the crowd, no utensils are allowed. How can a secret service agent distinguish a real knife from an eating utensil from a few feet away?

Thanks for the clarification. These politically biased spotlights by either the Republican or the Democratic campaigns usually spread more darkness than light.

This is not a statement about janmcn's post but rather how funny it is to me that only our government and it's wonderful employees can come up with a plan to have the pres. attend a dinner and then removed the eating utensils!

I wonder if this is how health care will work, Give you health care and remove the doctors?

And just to add to this, is deterring a fork attack really outside the capabilities of or secret service?

Say what you will or will wht you say, irrespective of who made the call the fact is that knives and forks were removed from the tables of adults. This decision speaks volumes. WOW!
