Obama invited all those gays and deviates to the White House because he didn't want to face the Pope as the lone gay in attendance.

It needs to be put back in the closet instead of being treated as if a major segment of the population has been freed. Gays and "all others" are a minority group that happens to have the support of the government and the media. The whole subject seems a little queer to me! |

Threads like this one show us just how primitive we are. Does Christianity teach this hate? It may be time for some to read the bible, specifically the NEW Testament. I read more hate from supporters of religion than from atheists. Do you not understand that drives uncertain wanderers away from Christianity. Perhaps Luther is guiding you rather than your lord. Do you want that on your resume?

It's probably better if one does not delve deep into religion in a political forum, other than the issue. Obama's disrespecting the Pope is more of a personal affront than a religious issue. Even if the Pope DOES represent a major Christian faith. Apparently, the Vatican is a bit worried that these weirdos/freaks will attempt to get their photos taken with the Pope and the Vatican does not want this to appear like the Pope endorses their deviant behavior. Obama, the Muslim is blatantly disrespecting the Pope's position by inviting these "sinners" to the Pope's visit, knowing that they will not be there to be converted or forgiven, but to disrupt the visit and make a mockery of it. Obama is still acting like a petulant child, that wants attention. He is a very poor representation for America, shaming us all. |

If it's Martin Luther that is being referred to, is that a bad thing? I guess it could be, depending on how you look at it. Seems like a better example of a negative could have been utilized.

Obama's intentional act of inviting people who will create an affront to his guest, the Pope is at minimum done in poor taste. It goes to the character of Obama and should be little surprise to many. One wonders what Obama really hold dear and sacred? Its not America, it not Christianity its not capitalism.
He is a socialist but socialism is not conducive to America. Here is one reason why. In Denmark for example socialism works well because the Dane's have an unwritten rule that no one takes more than they need. Not here in America those on the dole whether domestic or foreign milk our system dry. Our market driven economy has lifted all boats. It may not be perfect but it is the best system in the world and the lefties are destroying it. As to the Pope. The sexual abuse scandals deeply scarred the Church. The only Pope of Polish ancestry brought hope back to many. The current Pope appeared to have the makings to bring back many to the church because he appeared down to earth sensible etc. However he is either naive or an outright socialist and either way any idea I had to return has been forgotten because I disagree with much of what this Pope has said. So I will continue to pray from my home follow Christ teachings in my every day life as I am sure a pure heart is as good as going to church will get me to heaven. Personal Best Regards: Personal Best Regards |

Hmm, I guess some folks are so worried about PC that they fail to realize that the holiday IS Christ's birthday and we shouldn't be ashamed of referring to it with the traditional Merry Christmas. I'm not ashamed of it and many of my Jewish friends return the same salutation. I also try to remember their holidays so that I can greet them appropriately. That's my option. Just because some folks don't believe, does not make it taboo to greet each other during a holiday with the proper greeting. In my opinion, politically correct would dictate to THEM that they should take the initiative and greet me with my preference of greetings. PC works both ways, not just aimed at boosting up the liberal. I am sensitive to others and their feelings but find it sanctimonious for them to feel that I should change my religious practice to satisfy their non-belief. They have their right NOT to believe in anything, and I have my right to practice my religion as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. Being cheerful, charitable and thankful during religious holidays is hardly harming anyone else, and I have no intention of changing for them. It won't change how they feel, so why should I care?
