Default Pelosi

.....has lousy favorable ratings yet somehow seems to stay below the radar. Other speakers in the past, most notably Newt Gingrich, have been demonized in the press and were household names. Does she get a free ride from the press?

Let's see - Democrat, ultra liberal, representing most of San Francisco, and Speaker of the House. What are the odds?

For once I must fully agree with you. The idea of Nancy Pelosi being voted out of office by the SanFran voters is, at best, absurd. She is, except for the President both the most liked and most hated of any member of Congressional leadership. Per the latest polls she has a 35% favorable rating and a 57% unfavorable rating - a 22% gap. The only other member of Congress that has a comparable gap is Harry Reid with a 26% favorable impression and a 48% unfavorable impression. Although NP may be safe, Harry Reid is in big trouble.

The Republican leadership is also viewed unfavorable but by a gap of 2-4%. These are telling numbers in how the American public views the actions now coming out of Washington.

The Obama continuing crusade for HR 3200, means that he knows that he has spent his political capital. This is a desperate attempt to get over the goal line of socializing healthcare.

Default She can lose being Speaker of the House was the intention of

my commentary! I should have been more clear which I meant. Put her back to being lord over those that keep her in office. It is a good corner once she is outta the House Speaker's job.

Oh Heavens no. As the ultra-liberal wing(?) of the Democrat Party continues to dig themselves deeper in the hole of public approval and the gap between the relatively few moderate Dems and their "leadership" continues to grow into a chasm, would you take away their biggest shovel? Every time Pelosi opens her mouth, another independent/moderate regrets his/her Obama vote and looks toward the GOP. Every time she exercises her rather heavy-handed direction toward the less radical, non union-owned members of her caucus, another solid Dem vote moves closer to the Blue Dogs.

She's a certified pain in the and an embarrassment to the American form of government whenever she opens her mouth, but she is God's gift to the GOP. Imagine if the MSM treated her the was they did Gingrich.
