You're kidding, right? Well I guess this proves I'm on the right track when an avowed lefty like you expresses dismay at my post.

Clear thought??; the reds have come through the gate and are sitting in our House. Is that clear enough.

I find it illuminating that the CPUSA expressed outrage that anybody think a commie might be sitting in the left wing of Congress. I would expect them to say "What's wrong with that, if true?"; but no, they expressed outrage.

If any protests too much, it's them; and who are they covering for. Look at my links; there's 70 names of socialists in Congress in 2010.

Since you accused me, would you please give me the quote where I gave an opinion on Barney Frank ?

Your inability to do so is what makes some posters posts so invalid ! I suggest that you read more and you will find the character assassination is pretty much coming from one side and now if you read they are going after Romney's wife, which I find amazing.

I am hoping to see that quote you have of me giving my opinion of Barney Frank to validate your accusation and I will make a public apology.

If you actually read you will find my only opinion was to criticize the Republican involved.
"I want you to know how difficult it is for me to in anyway agree with Barney Frank who is in my opinion...never mind"

If this isn't an implied opinion of Frank I'd like to know what you call it? And yes, I do read well enough to have seen that you did in fact take exception to the to the comments of the 2012 version of Joe McCarthy.

The uber-conservatives are sounding like a large group of drones who have just been kicked out of the bee nest. Buzz, buzz, but with no stinger and they just fly away with Allen West at the lead.

Ann Coulter is happy with these drones and her bank account is even happier. Hey, I bet Ann doesn't pay income tax based on her drone investments!

It is not Communism though and does not have the connotations that seeing red would have.

Do you mean this group chachacha-- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democra...sts_of_America?

I could not actually find a "Democratic Socialist Party" in the U.S.

It looks like WorldNetDaily is the source of this number. WorldNetDaily - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And, they talk about the Democratic Socialists of America. http://www.dsausa.org/dsa.html

This is a good article about the difference between "socialism," "communism," and "liberalism." http://www.nationalreview.com/corner...jonah-goldberg

"Here’s my problem. Socialism isn’t the scare word Weigel and others (David Frum comes to mind) say it is. I will be honest and admit that I wish it was more of a scare word than it is, but it’s really not one. I don’t think Americans think of gulags, bread lines and Red Dawn when they hear the word 'socialist.' They think of those things when they hear the word 'Communist,' which is a different thing than socialism (or at least that’s what every book on the subject and every sincere democratic socialist I’ve ever spoken to says)." From the above Jonah Goldberg article.

Jonah Goldberg is saying he wishes that "socialism" was a "scare word" for people, but admits that it's not.

I agree with Mr. Goldberg that I would love it if more people recognized that the great murderous regimes of the 20th century all did their killing in the name of one flavor or another of socialism.

As Mr. Goldberg also opines in his essay; "can an American liberal explain what exactly differentiates the goals, ambitions and/or philosophical drives of, say, the liberal wing of the Democratic Party from European social democrats? Is there anything fundamental to social democracy that Nancy Pelosi (forget Obama for the moment) disagrees with because she is a liberal and not a “socialist”? Is there anything Nancy Pelosi believes about the role of the state that would cause the average Swedish or British social democrat to object?"

Richie begins with the premise that Stalin's Russia was a Communist regime. It wasn't. It was a Facist regime. They are NOT the same thing at all.

Joseph Stalin was a corrupt bureaucrat that warped the Socialist ideals of Marx and Lenin (and other Marxists) into a totalitarian regime where the state controlled absolutely everything. Communism by default is highly against a state even existing. Stalin was not a Communist or a Socialist by any means. He was a fascist and used force to control everyone and everything.

The only difference between Stalin and Hitler was Stalin did not kill people because they were of a certain race. Hitler was a facist who tried eliminating Jews, Poles, homosexuals, Poles, and others.

Well whichever one of these socialist regimes or philosophies is closest to the Democrat Party is immaterial.

They all are anti-American in philosophy and ideals, as is the present day Democrat Party.

I will stand corrected if wrong, but both are typically government control and anti capitalism.

"Anti-american in philosophy and ideals".

Not sure what you mean with this. I would say that the US Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and The Federalist Papers represent the Founding Fathers thoughts and ideals.

Many readers have labelled them "socialist" when asked on the street where certain quotes come from.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federalist_Papers
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Welfare_clause
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Hamilton

I wonder what Allen West would do with Alexander Hamilton's ideas? They do look very much like those found in some "socialist" writings.

All of these railings and the uber-conservatives are still gladly accepting their Social Security checks every month and their Medicare treatments. Ask them and they say, "we paid for them". Pull up your big boy pants and accept the fact, you are in favor of socialism when it benefits you.

Without Social Security, a goodly portion of you wuber-conservatives would probably be sitting by the side of the hiway underpass in your home of a refrigerator carton because you saved NOTHING during your working career.

All of you should be thanking Social Security for your checks every month and you will probably draw out much more than you every put in the system.

I would say that Allen West, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum are prime examples of what is wrong with America at the present day.

Don't worry about a socialist program - worry about fanatics like those people I mentioned.
