I think the putting of FOX News and MSNBC as an example of opposites is ludicrous. No cable station is more politically biased as MSNBC is.

FOX News and CNN, you might be able to make a case for similarity in that CNN is obvious left leaning while FOX does lean right. FOX News is, incidentally, the only station that you can make a case of leaning "right". Every single other station, broadcast or cable, leans left to some degree.

I think from a journalistic, unbiased point of view that CNN has the edge, but that is simply my opinion.
ewwissenbach: What you said above triggered something. Suppose for simplicity sake we substitute the word "bias" with "belief". A bias is a bent or tendency toward (eg. a guy likes redheads over blondes)whereas a belief is something or someone who has gained our trust and confidence based on (empircal data) and therewithin is the important difference.

Bias would be the correct word in this situation. Belief would not be correct.

Richie seems to think that all television news stations are left leaning except for Fox. Well, Richie, maybe you have to think if all the cars on the road are going in the opposite direction from you, maybe it is YOU who is going in the wrong direction.
