I've stated before that I was a Rockefeller Republican at one time. On this forum that would make me a flaming liberal. Actually I have moved from right of center to left of center as I've gotten older. But not too much in my thinking.

You may be right? My intent and only point was to ignore the bigoted criticism about fake news ,etc and focus on O'Reilly. Perhaps I did not meet some posters expectation?

As to generalizations what else can one do when one can only speculate about this case. I believe I made my case that given O'Reilly's behavior and arrogance it was predictable that someone was going to take him down.

However I appreciate your criticism and will take it into consideration with future postings.

Personal Best Regards:

Those celebrities and political figures taking umbrage are hypocrites. Those claiming "me too" are doing what that breed does taking advantage of publicity and they don't care if its good or bad. That entire industry plainly speaking is a cesspool fully loaded with narcissist and opportunist that have the morals of an alley cat.

The "casting couch has been around forever...what do these women expect when the product they are selling is sexuality? Their sexuality?

These women are looking for a payday...to hit the lottery...

You and I agree in that I have a low opinion of many of the people associated with movie making

In order to qualify as an alpha male you have to lower yourself to gutter language. Who would have thunk it. Hmm

Why do I care what other people think? Well I don't actually care. However when someone makes a comment is polite about it my usual reaction will be to respond to ensure my communication is not misunderstood. I'm not adverse to constructive criticism ( an oxymoron) etc.

I found it interesting that the OP used hyperbole when starting this thread. Its not just the "O'Reilly Story" , its the "Shocking O'Reilly Story

with all the scandal and corruption in Washington this one story merits "shocking"?

Thanks for the comeback. My main problem with O'Reilly is his long history of the same accusations. Can't all be circumstantial. Not with a history of payouts.

I agree that is why I wrote if he treated women the way he did after asking them to come on is show then what was he doing off screen. I could not watch the guy because he would ask a gust a question interrupt the guest and answer his own question.

Its like the story the tell of he narcissistic talk show host.

The host says, "OK enough about me" now let's get to my guest."

the host, My first question to you guest is "what do you think of me"?

Yup -- that's Feelings Femo-Fascism for you.

As someone posted elsewhere -- it's People Magazine politics. The whole country is one big high school cafeteria.

"The liberal New York Times is out to get O'Reilly and conservative voices!" It's an alternate reality far too many are living in...

His secret settlement with longtime Fox News colleague Lis Wiehl was the story of the weekend. He agreed to pay $32 million after she threatened to sue him for alleged sexual misconduct. The settlement stayed secret until Saturday, when the NYT's Emily Steel and Michael Schmidt published it.

But the real story is, this happened in January and Fox News knew about it, but still renewed his contract in February. Fox makes a big deal about Weinstein...

BUT WILL THEY BE EQUALLY OUTRAGED ABOUT THIS?
sure BUT, Oreally not politician is he. Which this shyt goes on daily in the real world BUT, we we equally outraged by the amount of women Clinton paid off including the ligament son mother in Arcansaw so he was kept squeaky clean for politicial advancement in the Most Lying deceiving polticial party ever. AND are you equally outraged by the DOssier lying British retired agent the made up the Trump Dossier Brought and Paid for by the DNC, Hillary Clinton and possible the FBI Head Croney, which Involved CIA head CRapper. So WE see what else comes out of this and the republican that was in on the big lie also. Edited we for you was directing to individuals.

It's too bad people only watch their one station when it comes to politics. The right sticks with Fox and the left with CNN. In a perfect world they should watch one station one night and the other the next. Then decide where the truth is leading them.

Some do and some don't. At our house we don't just watch one. We watch all of them. But Rachel Maddow aggravates me to death. Her attitude, not her sexual orientation.

And Topspin? You don't usually have so many grammatical errors? What's up?

Topspin. Were you a professional Tennis player?
