"The Army last week warned all military personnel in the United States to avoid 37 American cities this week over concerns that anti-police protests, dubbed “Days of Rage,” are planned and could turn violent."

"A U.S. Army North spokesman, Lt. Col. Jason Shropshire, said the safety of soldiers and their families is a high priority. “For security reasons, we don’t discuss force-protection measures that we put into place at our Army installations or the specifics of cautionary advice we provide to our soldiers,” he said."

"The notice says that “being anywhere near these protests greatly increases the chance that you could become a victim of violence."

U.S. military told to avoid 37 American cities for fear anti-police protests may turn violent - Washington Times

"The argument has some power because the dangers, for cops, are real. The possibility of violence is overwhelming."

“One of the most vulnerable times in our day is shift change,” Officer Virgilio, 31, says as he checks the route. “It’s a matter of avoiding certain patterns. Anybody who is trying to organize some sort of attack on police officers is going to do some sort of surveillance. They’re going to figure out when our shift changes are, they are going to figure out what doors we use to get in and out of the precinct. And it doesn’t take long to gather that type of intelligence.”

"Because there are so many guns out there, police officers are trained to live in fear of the very people they are supposed to protect and serve. Anytime a police officer pulls over a car, he or she must worry that the person inside that car will have a gun that could be turned on them. At training academies throughout the nation, new recruits are taught that cop-killers need two things: a will to kill and an opportunity to act. There's little an officer can do about will; anyone can have it without anyone else knowing. Officers can, however, limit the opportunities for a cop-killer to act by being prepared and quick to defend themselves."

" More police officers are being killed, because they’re hesitating more before pulling the trigger to defend themselves, [Chief Mark] Becker said.

That hesitation stems in part from pressure created by news media and community activists who are increasingly claiming police-involved shootings are racially motivated, he said.

“There’s a small fraction of people who want to come to judgment before knowing all the facts,” he said.

That public pressure is a factor as police officers make life-and-death decisions within seconds, he said. “That plays out in a police officer’s mind,” Becker said. ” ‘What do I do, what do I do?’ and then all of a sudden he’s getting shot.”"

Inner cities are a war zone.

You claimed to work in law enforcement in Tampa? Then you know there are areas the police don't go into alone.
Well, your posting was certainly overkill. I wasn't addressing you. I was showing the insane gleam in the eyes of Charles Manson. Did you miss the caption, "Charlie" or the reference to him in my previous post?

------------------------

On another subject, having worked for some period of time for every Sheriff of Hillsborough County (five different Sheriffs) from 1961 to 2010 (there were breaks for federal service and for owning my own business, and then retirement) I find your "You claimed to work in law enforcement in Tampa?" to be condescending and somewhat insulting.

They share a hate for Obama, not because of his policies, but because if his color. He is much more of a man that Trump will ever get close to being. They hate Clinton so much, they turn over the Oval to a man consumed with himself.

He is, and I have said this repeatedly, a very very mean spirited person who, in my opinion ranks our country well behind himself.

He has no desire to lead ALL the people, none whatsoever. He is self centered and I agree that background plays a role. He grew up in a Klan family, and throughout his life manifested that upbringing.

When he was elected, I felt a revulsion for the man, but an understanding that maybe he might be able to do something good that I might endorse. He has destroyed all chances for that.

He single handily screwed any hope, at least now, for health care revision. His obsession for hating people overrides any common sense. The time he should have been acting like a President and working the halls of congress, he was hate speaking, and leading Boy Scouts in loving chants.

You can tell me I have a syndrome....you can blame OBama and Clinton for every ill in the world....you can justify hating, whatever you want to do. You can FALSELY accuse our media of gross things, you can excuse whatever he says and does in anyway you want. He will do nothing for this country UNLESS it does something for him.

I disagreed with OBama and Clinton as much as all of you, but I never HATED them or anyone.

This forum has become a white nationalist haven.

America is NOT becoming great again with this President.

You want this rhetoric to stop.....tell it to the President.

Well, let's examine this.

1. Unless you have been given Coldnomore's password so you could sign in under that name, you can find no post where I have said that YOU have a syndrome.

2. On the other hand, THIS POSTING has so many of Coldnomore's characteristics, one might think you have shared your password so that Coldnomore can post under someone else's name.

3. It is nonsense to attribute the failure of the healthcare bill in the Senate to Trump. Sen. Murkowski in Alaska is a Liberal RINO who won't vote Conservative, and Sen. Paul of Kentucky is just stubborn and won't give in when he doesn't get his way.

4. Your paragraph laden with "you" accusing me of all kinds of attitudes and positions that I have never taken shows me that you are not completely in touch with reality.........which makes me think that you shared your password with Coldnomore.

My comment was aimed at this forum.

You, and your ilk do not realize what a minority you are.

Majority. By far, of Villagers are not like you...actually speaking of YOU, I would say you and your limited vocabulary are extremely rare.

I assure you after many years here, Villagers are compassionate, warm, empathetic human beings. They do not condone or take part in hate speak, and certainly do not use the vulgar language which seems to identify you.

Just making it clear.....speaking of the forum, not The Villages.

Carl,

I recall you as a reasonable poster in the past. As was said about another poster earlier, you guys have turned.

If I offended you in any way, I always apologize. You infer that such a syndrome exists, which I think points to you losing touch with reality.

You can bow to Mr Trump...you may defend him, but he made ZERO effort on the health bill, and his attacks publicly instead of engaging in any adult conversation on the bill, and looking at it from a perspective of win or loss for HIM and nothing else. His interest was not our country.

I will stop...you obviously feel a bit above the fray...I don't. Not use to being called names or being verbally"spanked" because I do not share your feelings on Trump or using OBama and Clinton or media as a crutch for anything. You guys enjoy blaming anyone BUT Trump for everything, mostly based on color, avoiding his past, but mentioning everyone else.

I know you feel you are smart, and you probably are. I know you feel your background allows you some sort of privilege or insight (you sure mention it often) but obviously do not care what others might know or have done. That is important to you, so go for it.

I will never attack American institutions or hardworking public servants as our Presudent....does not mean (because I can feel another if your holier than thou sermons coming) that they do not merit criticism. I will never make a decision or judgement based in someone's skin color or heritage, and certainly do not believe in labeling.

But then again, I am not nearly as worldly as you, or as well informed, but heck Carl...I am white at least and an American.

PS..watching the weekend rally and hearing the chants of "we won you lost" surely were inspired by black people. Blacks certainly influenced someone to use a car as a lethal weapon. Was it Black lives matter or was it affirmative action ? Hard to tell. While you continue to try to justify seeking unfettered, unreasonable hate as a rebound from affirmative action or something else, I see the same thing as every violent hate riddled rally I ever saw..,for what it is in that moment. Your belief that people hate today within theses frameworks are because of how they may have been brought up, but ignore Trump coming from a family of Klan members is extraordinary in its selectiveness.

You HAVE shared your password with Coldnomore !

Either that or you are acting in collusion with Coldnomore.

Just like Coldnomore, you are now basing your evaluation of me on what you think I implied. No go. I say what I mean.

Like Coldmore, you accuse me of defending Trump; a claim demonstrably contrary to fact.

Like Coldnomore, you are expressing resentment at the mention of my career background.

And, of course, like Coldnomore, you managed to slip in a couple of outright insults.

CONGRATULATIONS. You've made it.

I am a bit tired of this.

You attack people for making insinuations about you, then attack with your own insinuations.

Not sure what you want...I even apologized to you if you were offended. Am I to agree with you, even if we disagree ? Is that what you want ?

You keep asking for people to suggest what changes need to be made. I gave you mine and the reasons a number of times. You simply ignore that, make a subtle mention of OBama, BLM and move on as if nothing was said. You have never spoken to my suggestions in any post.

About the only thing I have in common with Coldnomore is we share being called obscene names, not obscene, but demeaning names, having our sign in name used as a snappy little put down.

We also share being labeled, and most importantly to me....being verbally attacked with and without obscenity because we supply actual news items to make our point, and we share nobody actually ever responding to those links except to blame everything on the media even when they report actual words and actions.

That is what we share. You join the lecturers in here now, label anyone who finds Trump offensive and threatening with names and lecture based on nothing but blind loyalty. (That is my opinion..,do not give me your lecture on implication)

You really ARE showing your true colors and desperation...aren't you?

Your 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' is what your fellow, and also formerly in the closet bigot/racist RubiTHECon...has been calling everyone that doesn't agree with his and now your views for a long time.

You do realize don't you, that it's not even original and is simply warmed over supposed... 'Bush Derangement Syndrome?'

That you pop up down here, start mimicking him in so many things including this supposed 'TDS', would make a decent person very suspicious...that you and he are one and the same.

RockyRd has been around, apparently using other names that he has been totally honest about, a whole lot longer than myself and I have a feeling that I would have sparred quite a bit with him on our views of Obama's policies (I liked more than I didn't like of them).

But the one thing I have never seen from Rocky, that I've seen from you and RubiTHECon (plus a whole lot of others), is the racism & bigotry that you've let out of the closet since Trump was elected.

He11, at least Baldwin/Larbud/Dirtbag/Etc. are upfront about themselves being racists, whereas the sneaky types like you and THECon...try to be a little more subtle/covert about it.

It sickens and roils real patriotic American citizens to even think so many of you racists/bigots/misogynists even exist...much less that you might have had some kind of authority over others in private business or law enforcement.

So you, RubiTHECon and the others go ahead and keep pretending that no one notices that deep down you're simply a more subtle white supremacist/racist/bigot.

I hope it doesn't hurt your feelings too much though, when those of us who care DO notice...and call you out for it.

Thumbs down George Lincoln Rockwell

For those who do not recognize him, this is George Lincoln Rockwell, founder of the American Nazi Party.

He was very much a "true believer" who headed a "Stormtrooper Barracks" full of Brown Shirt "troopers" in Arlington, Virginia.

The Secret Service Protective Intelligence Division maintained periodic surveillance of the Barracks to identify new members of the group and evaluate their potential danger to the President.

On August 25, 1967, Rockwell was shot and killed while leaving a laundromat in Arlington, Virginia. John Patler, a former member of Rockwell's group, was convicted of the murder and served eight years in prison. Hearing of his son's death, Rockwell's 78-year-old father said: "I am not surprised at all. I've expected it for quite some time."

By coincidence, I was on a temporary assignment in the Intelligence Division at the time of the assassination, and watched the story unfold on local television. Several agents were dispatched to the scene of the murder to assist local police in investigating the case because we had extensive files on members of the group.

Amazingly, because Rockwell had an honorable discharge from the Navy, he was authorized to be buried in a National Military Cemetery. However, demonstrators prevented the hearse from entering the property, and later he was cremated.

Rockwell was an inspiration for David Duke, a current White Supremacist Leader (KKK,) who was in high school when Rockwell was killed.

A Swedish born skinhead now transformed into the respectability of a businessman showed up at Charlottesville in a smart suit, sun glasses and speaking to the news camera in his Johnny Cash bass tone.

David Friberg represents the media savvy faction of the white nationalist movement attempting to show their respectability and hence support for their cause

I believe the white nationalist are trying to hijack Trump's let's make America great movement to their nefarious agenda.

I believe the left is intentionally fueling that very thing in order to discredit Trump.

I believe that the American people will not buy into the nationalist propaganda. I believe the nation will demand a move back to just right of center.

I believe that the focus on white nationalist and Trump is a waste of time and our energies ought to be focused on dealing with the cause(s) that created this problem.

I believe that the only way to do this is to let our national leaders know that we are not buying into the left or right propaganda and that we simply desire a solution based on and in the manner our founders constructed.

Are there enough adults in the room to accomplish this simple task?

Didn't know that...it followed my post with no "quote"...thought you were insinuating I was a Manson. It set the tone for the entire reply.

They also want to stay away from minorities.

Diversity destroys...always. Mandate 20% minorities in the villages and the "lifestyle" would end at the same time. It's what ALWAYS happens. There are NO diverse paradises.

Just a touch of hypocrisy from the dike that inferred people who do not speak good English were undocumented...
