Why do people scream and curse at each other on this forum. The rules are clear and easily found. You need to be able to verify two items. Your appearance and your signature. A driver's license does both as it has your photo and your signature. If you just have a photo ID eg Villages ID you need a second item that shows your signature. Once both those are displayed then you sign the electronic pad.
Whether during early voting or on Election Day, you will be asked to provide at the polls a valid photo ID with signature. Any one of the following photo IDs will be accepted: Florida driver’s license Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles United States passport Debit or credit card Military identification Student identification Retirement center identification Neighborhood association identification Public assistance identification. If your photo ID does not include your signature, you will be asked to provide another ID that has your signature. |

I believe the problem is not so much as the ID issue as the OP's indignant rant about a "friend" that was supposedly told that he/she could vote, even though he/she was a Canadian. Since there is rampant voter fraud by the left, some sort of response was apparently needed to save face for the very unethical, immoral Democrat party. Someone was obviously joking and the indignant leftie was offended. Like I have said many times, humor is lost on liberals.

This is a copy of text sent via email to me regarding early voting:
You may know that there is an "Early Voting" centre at the Mulberry Grove Rec. Centre. When I was going into the gym, I was accosted by some Trump supporters who asked me if I was going in to vote. When I said " I am Canadian and can't vote because I am not a citizen", the guy asked," Do you have a Villages ID that shows you own a house in TV? When I said "Yes", he said that's all I need - photo Villages ID and my signature seem to all I need to vote. That can't be right. I am NOT lying....... |

However I think maybe your Canadian friend was either kidding you or the Trump supporters were kidding with him.

I find it amusing that this thread hints at REPUBLICAN voter fraud. Let's face it, it is the DEMOCRATS that receive 99.98% of votes from dead people, 99.98% of the votes from illegal aliens, and 99.98% of the votes from those who voted multiple times, and gain from the 99.98% of the votes blocked by black panther intimidation at polls. If it gets any worse, just declare the USA a banana republic. |

Your friend could have been told she could vote, but once you get in the door and have to show your photo ID, drivers license, check to see if your a registered voter, then it might have a been real embarrassing scenario for your friend.

I saw some Trump sign carriers at both Mullbery and Tiera ... amazingly they looked like smart people, but those Trump signs in their hands led me to assume otherwise.
