You folks are looking at his written speech and not listerning to what he actually said. He did say "we are a muslim nation" and he did say it was OK for Iran to have nuclear capability. Now that was not in the written word but is part of his sound bites. I am sure the muslim nation error was in fact he missed something on the teleprompter becuase he has to be smarter then that, however he did say it, but the Iran information about nuclear he did say as stated by conservativechick.

So please don't take your facts from what his press corp publishes because they will fix his gafs before it goes to press. And I am sure he will try to deny it as well. But go to the recorded speech and it's there.

As to your other points: The fact is that George W. Bush (for whom, unfortunately, I voted the first time he ran) left this country in a shambles-- both domestically and internationally. Unlike you, I do have grandchildren. I am quite thankful for their sake, as well as my own, that we now have a President who understands the issues, can actually speak about them intelligently, and seems to have the ability to turn things around. Why don't you give him a chance?

This post is a topper. Dear Avogado, have you given any thoght to how your (and my) grandchildren are going to pay off a 1.8 trillion dollar deficit? Printing dollar bills and hoping China doesn't call in the 2 trillion they have loaned US is not going to protect our grandchildren from the dire financial calamity that looms around the corner. Take a look at the last 4 months.... how much faster could we have dug ourselves into an inescapable financial hole. You and I will be dead.... our children and grandchildren will be carrying this burden for a lifetime.
