Yep this person had the option to go In the military for minimum of 20 years, go were you were told, rotate overseas without family, work till the job done, and like it. But, the coward didn't. i would mention some other obscene pensions but I won't go there.

The United States calls the Russian move in Syria a "strategic blunder"

"There is no ambiguity now about Russia's current tactics in Syria -- they are seeking to take over the airspace in the region and be the agenda-setting force on the ground, several senior administration officials told CNN.

"Yesterday's demarche to the U.S. by Russian officials in Baghdad was clear in its intent," one senior administration official said. "Make sure you don't have anyone around ISIS targets and get out of the air."

And while U.S. officials have no plans to cede Russia any ground, they also said it appears that Russian President Vladimir Putin made a dramatic chess move that the Russians have not thought through -- one official even called it a "strategic blunder."

MEANWHILE......

"• Iran was on Thursday night moving up its ground forces in Syria in preparation for an attack to reclaim rebel-held territory under the cover of Russian air strikes, according to sources close to Damascus. Hizbollah, the Lebanese Shia militia which has come to the Assad regime’s rescue in battle-fronts across the country in the past two years, is being prepared to capitalise on the strikes, a Syrian figure close to the regime told The Telegraph
• Sources in Lebanon told Reuters that Iran, which is the main sponsor and tactical adviser to Hizbollah, was sending in hundreds of its own troops to reinforce them.

Makes you wonder about our "ally" Russia joining us in negotiation with Iran and doing nothing overt until our congress got locked out of any discussion.

Meanwhile, the death toll continues to rise, and the method of killing is getting worse.

Russia going to bomb anybody that gets in their way including us knowing our current leader will do nothing but release hot air. Russia will probably Annex Syria, Iraq, and eventually Afghanistan along with th former iron curtain countries that broke off. We have been beaten and bankrupted soon to be 3rd world country. Thanks to our policitial career leaders that WE voted in and keep voting these lying special interest POS dirbags. It will never change as long as we got electoral college, no term limits, and Lobbists.

Real mature. If we had a smart government of the people, we would gather all the liberals that want socialism and send them to Europe one way, so they can experience it first hand. Better yet, send them to the New USSR where they can all be equal. Equally losers. Time for them to contribute instead of ride the gov teat like spoiled children. They can become party workers.

Why vote for a black democrat?
Is the color what matters?
If yes, then note what that has gained all those that went for color instead of qualifiication.

If there was an appropriatly qualified black republican what makes you think we would not vote for him/her?

You guys always tickle the funny bone.

This post and those similar are from the racists in the group. Cover is to call anyone else a racist under any and all situations.

You dont like the foreign policy....you are a racist. You dont like his stance on immigration....you are a racist.

It is not lost on me as I watch news reports of this horrible act, that the color of this pyschos skin is not mentioned. Continually reminded if skin color in certan instances.

These people that use that hateful "tea ******" terminology are akin to this shooter. Expressing hate on line continually and always with an agenda, whether it be race, political idealogy, or whatever, but never issue driven, is a very scary thing. Referring to someone as a conservative or liberal is one thing...ALWAYS using those hateful and personal terms...bigot, racist, tea ******, etc is a symptom. It just is. Those who do that on here and on Topix or similar sites have exactly the same kind of symptoms in my opinion.

I can understand and tolerate a political attack referring to people under a political umbrella, but those terms are reserved for hate.

That's because liberals, especially juvenile liberals, when losing an argument resort to name calling and slurs. Very typical and immature. Losers, with a capital "L"

This is about Syria, which is the thread subject.

I have been posting for a few years on this forum about the people of Syria and how WE have ignored them.

This morning on Morning Joe, they are showing pictures of the refugees which is simply horrible.

Am I supporting some kind of war at this point in Syria involving the USA ? At this point ....NO

I just do not want to hear or read a post from someone on the left proclaiming how insensitive a conservative is, how wonderful and caring a liberal is, how they feel for and take care of those who are "under privileged".

It is too late......a few years ago, we turned our back on human suffering, while we lamenting a police officers terrible mistake here. We ignored gassing of children in the streets, which we knew about, We SAID, dont you dare cross this line...dont you dare use chemical weapons.

We SAID it, but we didnt mean it. We allowed what is happening in Syria. We could have helped these people.

Oh, you dont want to get involved. Then never say we lead the world in what is right and wrong....never say we really care. We are easy to give money, borrowed most of the time, but that is what we now stand for.

PLEASE do not post on here how wonderful you are in taking care of the disadvantaged. PLEASE do not post on here about how you care about human lives. PLEASE do not call me or any conservative unfeeling.

The world is on fire....people are suffering beyond belief and we pat ourselves on the back. We could have done something at that time (3 years ago) but we chose, and chose is the right word, not to do anything, nothing. By the way, we did destroy the country of Libya at that time.

This post is more about the hypocrisy, and I will say of the left....I know that the left is not the only guilty parties, but speaking to this forum where the conservative movements is considered uncaring, and the liberal movement is the caring group, it is aimed at the liberals.

Do not even imply how your movement is above us all....you do not care at all.

I am not speaking of invasions, I am not speaking of anything but trying anything in the face of horrible massacre. We had words and nothing but words.

And by the way, not just Syria...we did it and continue to do it in Iraq. There is an article in yesterdays POLITICO how we took action ONCE to help a tribe in Iraq and then obviously turned our back on them.

"n 2014, Vian Dakhil's stirring plea for international intervention helped inspire President Barack Obama to order airstrikes and launch a humanitarian effort to rescue thousands of Yazidi Iraqis who were trapped on a mountainside under assault by Islamic State.

A year later, Dakhil, one of two Yazidi members of the Iraqi parliament, says her people have been abandoned by Washington and the international community.

In an emotional, at times tearful, on-stage interview at POLITICO’s “Women Rule” event Wednesday morning in Washington, Dakhil described a full-blown humanitarian crisis — 420,000 Yazidis living in refugee camps in tents with mud floors, women and girls continuing to be kidnapped, 2,200 girls in captivity as sexual slaves, and survivors returning from the horror of ISIL captivity with no resources for psychological support. Thousands of orphans have no homes.
Dakhil, who is credited with saving many Yazidi women and girls from ISIL captivity, said she was not contacted by U.S. officials after the initial announcement. A letter to Michelle Obama received no response, she said."

I liked our country better when we cared a bit.

Frustrated am I ? Yep....for those who want to lecture me and others and call us names and tell us we do not care about human life, etc. STOP IT.

We are that country who can but will not.
