It's pretty evident Sarah Palin will not go on any televised show (Meet the Press, etc.) because she is not qualified to answer their questions; and when she gets flustered, her neck gets red & blotchy--just my observation). My husband commanded a small air force reserve base that had more reserve members than the total number of Air National Guard members in Alaska. BTW, the Guard in Alaska has problems meeting their quota of maintaining their number of Guard members. The two-star general there is "in charge" of the Guard members, except for when there is a crisis within the state of Alaska (then Palin would take over).

It's beginning to seem that Gov. Palin is taking a lot of grief because she is personable and more.

Perhaps if she looked like Michael Moore in drag and sounded like Rosie O'Donnell when mad, her support base may be larger.

Yes, I expect flak over this comment, but from reading a lot of the posts, they are very catty and gender-demeaning of a person who has more political success than many others, gender notwithstanding.

"personable and more"! So Steveo, what's the "more" your are referring to?

In the corporate world we referred to people like her as "grippers and grinners". A smile and a handshake and no depth beyond that. They are all personable but not much "more" is there.

She's clueless and that's the problem!

The good news she isn't running for president. McCain is' and just two weeks ago today he stated "the fundamentals of the economy are strong".

Great pair!

I am sure this is my naive attitude with this economic stuff, but what I read has nothing to do with the fundamentals of the economy being weak...fact is I have heard folks from both parties say so.

This has more to do with greed within the system and lack of someone watching the store, NOT the fundamentals !

FYI SteveZ, this entire post is sexist. My disdain for Palin has nothing to do with her looks or being catty. It has everything to do with her lack of knowledge on the issues, her obvious lack of judgment in accepting a position she's not qualified for, her extreme right wing views, and her condescending contempt for women. I don't see her as a female role model or hero for daughters or young girls to look up to. I see her as a "win at any cost", devious, uninformed liar. ahhhhhhhh, that felt good.

But, Chels, when one compares Sarah Palin to the bumbling, not on the same page as Mr. Obama, been on the government dole for a long, long time, other vice-presidental candidate with more nips, tucks and hair transplants than Sarah, she looks darn good.

Thankfully, this election will be over shortly but our problems will be huge for whomever wins.

The debate about Palin will be silenced after Thursday's debate. Let's wait and see...it will be a no-contest. Palin has no chance.

That may be true, Bright, if Biden can remember where Obama stands on the issues. He had some big missteps last week...

It's very simple. They keep her away from the media as much as they can because even if she said the sky is blue they would find a way to rip her apart for saying it. She's a white female Christian pro life conservative and the far left including the media hates her with a passion because of it.

Have you seen the footage of some of the far left liberal Hollywood types and others calling her names like a B_____ and even worse? You may disagree with her politics but what did she do to deserve that?

I think they hate her more than Bush. Why? If she's so incompetent, all they have to do is sit back and watch her loose the election for the GOP. Easy as pie, I'd think the Dems would be happy about it instead of so down right mean and nasty.

If Palin is so competent then why is she at a "Debate Boot Camp"? She needs educating...that is not debatable.

Sure wish I could see other's posts to refer back to as I type. Any way to do that like it was in the other forum? Would be a nice perk.

Perhaps the Dems are a bit worried that Palin may surprise everyone in Thursday's debate. I've been disappointed in her lately, but Biden has also made some missteps. The game isn't over yet.

But, Bright, look how long they have been schooling Obama so he can finally respond to some questions and not just give canned speeches. They are both coming from the same class, "early politics".

Come on Peachie

Are you actually saying Palin and Obama have the same background experience? I can't believe you would say that! I'm disappointed with you, Peachie.

Thursday will be the eye opener...just wait and see. Even Republicans are backing off.

I think Tina Fey should debate Joe.
