"I'm just a singer in a rock n roll band" and "I'd love to change the world, but I don't know what to do, so I'll leave it up to you" I don't know much about all this but what I do know when I see it is a religion. And the new religion today is what I call the actual "scientology". And science is their god. Unfortunately, unlike Christianity, where you are to hate the sin but love the sinner, "scientologists" hate the sin and loathe the sinner. Only a religion, actually more like a religious cult, would get so spun up about those that refuse to believe. I support your right to believe what you believe. I really do. I would hope that you would do the same. |

Not intended as an insult, just an observation. Critical thinking is lacking today. People react to a headline without reading the article. People read the article through a bias that prevents them from comprehending what the article is truly trying to say. It's just what happens too often today.

Evidence | Facts – Climate Change: Vital Signs of the Planet.
I would believe NASA long before I would believe the latest loud mouth on a FOX station. And it takes a strong mind to deal with the threat of global warming. A weak one just believes it is all a hoax when it cannot deal with reality. Last edited by Taltarzac725; 07-06-2023 at 08:56 AM. |

Oh, by the way, did you know the world was coming to an end at the change of the last century? Yep, that boosted retail sales of many venues. And then we have Al Gore and "An Inconvenient Truth", as he flies around the world in a jet consuming gobs of fuel, not to mention his lavish life style. But don't be too concerned, he has made millions from his sensationalistic types of books. "Get the sheeple to panic and we'll sell more books". |

A "strong mind" is able to FIX global warming? A "strong mind" is able to change the weather cycles/trends? How does that work? Is everyone going to turn off their A/C which will then cool their neighborhoods? Are we going to turn off all electronics, which will also start a cooling trend? Or, did you really intend to say "In my opinion....."???? I must have a strong mind (according to you) because I believe that Earth has warming trends and cooling trends. Should I say "in my opinion" those with "weak minds" believe that man can change the weather or stop the warming and cooling trends? I don't know if FOX would agree with me since I don't usually get my news from TV. Although, if I DID get my news from TV, FOX would probably be one of my first choices. I would prefer not to listen to a "loud mouth" though.

And some people believe what they are told, without applying common sense and reasoning. And don't forget to get your booster shot.

Where is Walter Cronkite when we need him but than again he probably had his own agenda

I think Cronkite was a TRUE newsreader. Unfortunately the majority of people reading the news these days put their own spin on everything. If I want spin, I'll do my own, just let me know what is happening in the world and leave the rest to me.

that will be a long time in the future. . . unless something radically changes in the US. . long after all of the retired residents in TV are no longer residents

Nice anti-Semitic dog whistle. Did you read that in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion? Of course you will post a link to a reliable source for that statement, soon.

Or not. Like seeing faces in clouds. Some see conspiracy due to conditioning, often of political and/or religious indoctrination.

IT WAS HOTTER ON A DAY 44 YEARS AGO THAN IT WAS YESTERDAY. Now let me help with that sentence. 44 years ago was 1978/1979. As the data says hottest since 1979 it must have been 1978 in your statement. Don't come back here and prevaricate about what you thought you read. You probably are embarrassed you didn't read carefully. You continue to make claims about 20000 years ago and such. But look at the graphs I posted. The early years are temps calculated from data such as tree rings etc. We only have rounded yearly temperature data for the last 150 years and we only have worldwide daily data since 1979 in this data set which is the standard being used. So yes you said it was hotter in 1978. You were wrong. You misunderstood what you read because you refuse to accept the science. There is no evidence that axis tilt, or the old favorite sunspots etc are causing the extremely rapid increase in global temperatures. We have been thru several sunspot cycles, there is no correlation to our temperature changes. The earth did not sudden change it's axis in the last 40 years. You need more mud for your dike.
