Now let me help with that sentence. 44 years ago was 1978/1979. As the data says hottest since 1979 it must have been 1978 in your statement.

Don't come back here and prevaricate about what you thought you read. You probably are embarrassed you didn't read carefully. You continue to make claims about 20000 years ago and such. But look at the graphs I posted. The early years are temps calculated from data such as tree rings etc. We only have rounded yearly temperature data for the last 150 years and we only have worldwide daily data since 1979 in this data set which is the standard being used.

So yes you said it was hotter in 1978. You were wrong. You misunderstood what you read because you refuse to accept the science. There is no evidence that axis tilt, or the old favorite sunspots etc are causing the extremely rapid increase in global temperatures.

We have been thru several sunspot cycles, there is no correlation to our temperature changes. The earth did not sudden change it's axis in the last 40 years. You need more mud for your dike.
Simple answer. You are right, he is wrong. But, ego and "die hard" political stance will likely never allow him to even see the truth or acknowledge it.

Do you pore over articles just to find conspiracies behind every article? Don’t you have anything better to do?
Weak-minded people? Really?
We tried going to the pool on the 4th but the water was so hot we lasted only 5 minutes. How does anyone feel refreshed in the simmering temps of these Villages pools? As newbies it’s so disappointing.

Thank you for the your post. I am on board with your graphics. Numbers tell the story. Been here in Florida for over 50 years and I can tell you this IT'S HOT" Looking back at growing up in the 40's not too many folks owned a car back in the day. When you look at the numbers as the years pass, the numbers go up. Today, we have at least two cars per home

It might happen a lot quicker than people think if something isn’t done about this country’s out of control spending and the resulting unsustainable deficit.

Something will take it's place.
Same as over the centuries some form of payment was the norm, and who ever had the most of it was king, until he wasn't.
The way banks are going, with their never ending drive to get rid of cash, a new world currency will probably be the answer, something like Bitcoin.
Not my worry.

What were you expecting……ice water? Why are you disappointed?

Again, another load of crap. But I read it again and I should have written "hotter on a day prior to 1979". Happy now???? But basic premise, there is no evidence that human activity is altering the repetitive cycle of glaciation and interglacial thaws that have repeated time and time again over the last 4.5 million years. That graph is crap. The data behind it is most likely crap, and the thought of spending $100 TRILLION to combat something that we can maybe, maybe affect 1% of is crap.

I would classify that as faulty logic, if there was any logic in it at all.

So, since you mention cars, try this one: 20,000 years ago NYC was under 2 miles of ice. By the dawn of the industrial revolution, prior to massive burning of fossil fuels, the ice had all melted and the climate was about the same as today. So, what make and model of SUV did Fred Flintstone and friends drive???? Why did the planet get so much warmer from 20,000 years ago until the beginning of industrialization??? Maybe I should put THAT on a "graph".

Hardly. Played 18 Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and got 17 1/2 in today before the rain. I cannot speak for others.

Who in their right mind believes in these so called climate change scientists/proponents like Al Gore or better yet, Greta Thunberg or AOC?
We have heard the same dire predictions from the left for almost 100 years, to control the country/world for their agenda.
Lets recap over that past 50 years on so called dire predictions that never came true:
in 1972, “We have ten years to stop the catastrophe,” said the UN’s environmental protection boss. That’s one of the headlines collected by Bjorn Lomberg, author of “False Alarm: How Climate Change Panic Costs Us Trillions, Hurts the Poor, and Fails to Fix the Planet.”

in 1982: Tolba, head of UN Environment
Programme in Che New York Times: If the nations of the world continue their current policies they will face by the year 2000: "an environmental catastrophe as
irreversible as any nuclear holocaust"

1989: Senior UN environmental official tells Associated Press, published around the world: U.N. Predicts Disaster if Global Warming Not Checked
Associated Press UNITED NATIONS (AP) - A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.
Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of "eco- refuges." We have to fix climate change by 1999 or climate change goes beyond human control: He said governments have a 10 year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before *Global disaster, nations wiped off the
ladesh could be flooded, displacing a fourth face of the earth, crop failures'
* in the Nile Delta would be flooded

2007: Rajendra Pachauri, head of U.N. Chief Seeks More Leadership on
Climate Change the UN Climate Panel.
Rosenthal, Elisabeth; Andrew C. Revkin contributed reporting from New York. "What we do in the next two to three years will determine our future"
The New York Times "If there is no action before 2012, that's too late"

Only 11 Years Left to Prevent Irreversible Damage from Climate Change, Speakers
Warn during General Assembly High-Level Meeting

In 1974, scientists Mario Molina and F. Sherry Rowland published a paper theorising that CFCs could destroy ozone in Earth's stratosphere.

I'm still here, cities all along the coasts are still here, glaciers are still here. There is a theme for all the propaganda brought upon these so called activists/scientists (?), we have 10 years or we are doomed.
