Default Is it time?

They must be discussing French Poodles?

Is it time to move this thread to the "French Forum???"

We placed small signs shaped like a dog with wording "No Dumping" on it on our property. We received a visit from the deed restriction dept. and were informed we needed to remove the sign. Of course we were turned in by an unknown neighbor. The gentlemen that came was quite surprised to see we have a dog of our own. I informed him we love animals but not some of their owners. Also had quite a conversation with the gentlemen and he even stated he has the same problem in his own neighborhood. There was an article in the recreation news this year where it says "It also means that the pet owner must prevent the pet from entering onto another resident's lot and doing its business". "It also means that even though you may have your pet on a 20-foot retractable leash, you are responsible for keeping that pet off of private property". This article I quoted from was written by the deed compliance manager for the VCDD. Now this should be the end of the story!

Thumbs down Unfortunate

It is unfortunate but some actually think they have the right to tresspass with their pets and are entitled to abuse other people's property. They don't recognize other people's boundries. Unfortunately I honestly doubt if things will change since this behaviorial problem needs serious professional
treatment as the person(s) don't understand why they must respect other people. I can pretty much guarantee that if someone showed a similar disrespect for their property, (e.g. set up a lawn chair and lit a fire on thier lawn, parked their car on the lawn, and so on.).it would only be minutes before they called the authorities. But and this is a big but they feel they
can have their animals relieve themselves on your property and in some cases destroy portions of the lawns and spread bacteria or have children roll around in the dog waste. There is no way I would ever allow our dog, and yes we have a dog. use someones else's property as a bathroom.
People should understand they are showing a total disrespect for the owner as they don't understand bad behavior. Thus the need for a professional to provide serious insight regarding their behavior.

Why would you say they are an odd bunch? Why do you have to insult people you don't know? I love dogs and the people that walk them. I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't have one. Dogs are the only creatures in the world that understand unconditional love. They are the only creatures that are always happy to be in the moment. I understand that you don't want my dog ****ing and peeing in your yard. I get it. You really need to be more concerned with his biting problem. That's the issue that will bring you to your knees. Seriously, can't a discussion be held without name calling? That is so third grade. Dog walkers get it. Now please be nice.

You carry water to dilute the pee? I may have been born at night but not last night. You are the very reason why we need signs in our yard.
Gimme a break...you carry water to dilute the pee.....you are killing me.

You do realize the dogs can't read those signs - right? And the signs are just as against the rules as the dogs peeing in the yard.
