Default PC or Mac?

After the wishful thinking about an Apple Store in TV, I was wondering, how many of use a PC, and how many a Mac. Is there a big demand for Apple to put a store in TV?

I have: 1 Dell desk top, 2 PC lap tops, 1 Mac Book Pro, & 2 Ipads. I not sure an iPhone counts, but I have one of those also.

After using the MAC, I will never buy another PC.

IMO Mac is much more "user friendly" and we wouldn't buy anything else.

"Once you go MAC you'll never go back!"

I used to have to go to my Dad's for PC tech support about once a week. I gave him my Mac Mini 2.5 years ago and now I get calls occasionally as to how to do something new, not why doesn't blankety blank work? It is so liberating not having to worry about viruses and malware/spyware.

Let's see I have an iMac, 2 iPads, 2 iTouches and am waiting for iPhone 5 release.
I guess Apple wins in my home.

its really a question of personal preference. While the PC world gives you more computing power, memory and hard drive size for your money the Mac is a bit more stable. Now why is mac more stable? the simple answer is that you are stuck with having to buy all peripherals and other devices from apple. The pc world allows you to use devices from many manufacturers making it much more cost effective and the operating system of choice for other computerized technologies (think all those computerized medical and manufacturing devices). The mac world has always striven for a certain amount of snob appeal, a marketing technique used so that you don't realize that you are tied to them once you buy because they don't allow many third party companies into their fold. Having worked with computers since before the inception of the personal computer, I will stay with microsoft as it is the development OS of choice, after all, the PC world never saw a reason to emulate the mac but the mac world found it necessary to emulate windows! As far as cell phones go...iphone technology is incredibly limited compared to the android OS, that's just a fact not a feeling.

Both - have a PC and laptop and an iPad and iPhone.

I feel very strongly both ways. After all, I don't like to argue.

If one is truly struggling with the PC vs Mac question, why not have both. Get the Mac and have Windows running in a virtual machine if you are so technically inclined. But in the end as a PC and Mac owner myself, my advice is this.

If you have an entire technical support department working on your behalf to keep things running and keeping your computer safe from all the evil the internet has to offer, I would say go with a PC. But if you are just a home owner looking for email, pictures, music, video and a little surfing of the web, then do yourself a big favor and spend the extra $$$ on the Mac. The Mac can't be touched for the "regular Joe". You will not regret it!

Macs and iPads are like Honda cars. Once you have one you never go back.

Default Red headed step child

I always thought of the red headed step child as Apple products till the iPad, now I have sipped on the apple koolade with iPhones,, Itouch, all 3 iPads ,,, I am just about to make the jump to iMac 27"". I just am concerned with the learning curve? Some of quirks of the iTunes concerns ,,, but I guess and old dog can learn new tricks,,, going to look used or re- furb. For u apple guys pm with how I sync my iPad with my cheap laptop I want to devote entirely to iTunes .. I want to put all on my laptop that is on my iPad ,

I'm also a convert to Apple. Self trained on the first generation IBM PC (previously ran programs on Compuserve). Sooooooooo long ago. Never liked the snobby, artsy Apple folks. But now have MacBook Pro laptop and Sony Microsoft Windows laptops. Sorry Sony, but that dust is getting really thick. My iPhone, iPad, iTV, and iMac all get regular workouts, but poor Sony just sits in the back of the desk.

Apple Kool-aid goes well with The Villages Kool-aid. Can't wait till I can get another drink from the Kool-aid fountain in Spanish Springs in August!

IMac21", MacBook (black), i Pad (1st gen), iPhone4s, time capsule--Epson Printer, Cisco modem, Cisco router in TV house--I guess I am a computer snob, Kool Aid licker. The Mac OS is still the most elegant. I will admit that I Tunes is a mess.

Always owned a PC because that's what I used at work, and still do. But after buying an iPhone, IPad, and iPod, I can't wait to purchase a Mac. As soon as I retire, there will be no PCs in my life.
