Here's another story about Signature Coach....
Paid $120.00 on July 7, 2016 for 2 round trip shuttle rides to Sanford.
Then comes hurricane Matthew......airport shutdown.....no shuttle ride needed for either going to or returning from airport. I canceled well within the 24 hour requirement. Still no refund!! Called 4 times and always get a run around. Trying to get reimbursement through credit card company now......Why does it resort to this?? Never again.

We used Signature Coach this month for round trip to Orlando. They did a great job communicating who our driver would be and when we would be picked up. We were picked up on time at our home in a comfortable minivan with one other couple already seated. We were even offered cold water during the trip to the airport.

Trip back was a different story. This time it was a regular airport shuttle van with little leg room. We were picked up on time and only had to wait about 10 minutes for another couple and two singles. Then the 6 of us had to wait another hour for a couple who were still in the air. Our driver said one hour wait for additional passengers was not unusual. Some of us asked for water while we were waiting and was told by the driver that he had run out (this was at 9 am). We were the third drop off and had spent 2 1/2 hours in the van by the time we finally got home.

We will not be using Signature Coach again.

Coming from Orlando at midnight, very light traffic on the turnpike. But construction had caused traffic to slow to a crawl ahead of us. I was in front passenger seat. Sig. driver kept turning his head to rear as he was conversing with 2nd row passengers. I realized he was unaware of traffic ahead and screamed out "watch out" just in time for him to brake VERY hard and avoid the collision. We had been doing 75 mph. I was glad someone, me, was watching the road!

Now that's really scary! Our driver told passengers whose flights arrived at the airport late to call the 800 number. I wonder if they get a reasonably timely ride home.

Friends just left for the flight home.....great experience with Signature. Same when they arrived. I suspect that considering the number of trips bad experiences are the minority....similar to bad flight experiences, bad cab experiences in NY etc. Since Signature continues to book rides I suspect they are doing ok for the majority of the riders.

Based on other services, ok is about the norm....they all have had riders that weren't satisfied. Now if you can afford a private driver or love to put your personal car in jeopady by parking at the airport not sure there is a public transportation company that will do better than ok.

I had a very bad experience with Signature Wednesday night. Without going into the whole story, waited almost an hour and a half and nobody could tell me when they would get there, I went over to the Village Airport shuttle desk and went home with them. Now I have to call Signature and fight for my money back.

However, I have used Signature at least 5 or 6 times in the past with excellent results, so I will give them another chance.

And you are going to give them another try! WHY?

Is this the same outfit that I read had a driver stopped and charged with an alcohol related driving incident? Is it the same outfit someone in an earlier post said they thought they could smell alcohol on the driver breath? I really don't know.... just asking.

I have utilized Uber numerous times to and from Sanford airport. No complaints at all. They arrive approx. 15 minutes ahead of time on the average. Although we had the same driver only twice, all of them were competent and sociable. And, quite important in my mind, we were the only riders. No waiting for others or dropping others at their homes.

As I said, I have used them 5 or 6 times before and they were great. They are a fairly new company to this area so "problems" are bound to happen until they get their "feet wet" and figure out what they need to do. Probably not used to the rush of the holidays, delayed flights, drivers calling in sick (yes that happened) and they can't just hire someone for the day to fill in at the last minute.

Even the established companies have their problems and I'll bet you can find threads relating problems with them on here also. Thing is, you can't just say I'm never going to use someone's service because of one bad experience, because you will eventually run out of people to call to get you where you want to go.

As for the alleged driver that may or may not have been drinking, I don't remember the story so can't comment on it. However, even the big airlines have been caught with their pilots drinking. People are people and you get good and bad in all walks of life. If this story is true, hopefully he was fired.

Earlier today I got a call from them confirming my 9:00 pickup. Told them it was confirmed at noon. I was told we always pickup 4 hours before a flight. I told them I specifically told the woman I booked with I wasn't getting a flight, just picking up a rental car because I couldn't get one from the Villages. Then was told they would get back to me, is been seven hours, no call back and when I called again was told no refunds. I have a freaking email confirmation with the proper pickup time on it..was told nothing she could do. Never again.

So, in other words, you would have had to pretend you had a 4 pm flight on _____ Airline in order to be picked up at noon? Unreal!
