Default OOMA Telo - Two questions

I am moving to TV in mid Feb and planning to get the 10MB CenturyLink Internet service. Several TOTV posts have recommended OOMA as a good internet telephone service option.

1. I will need to use the OOMA phone line for faxing. Several posts in other forums have indicated some difficulties with sending/receiving faxes. Have any of you TVers tried faxing, particularly with CenturyLink providing your high speed Internet and if so, what has been your experience.

2. Costco sells the OOMA Telo with Bluetooth included for $200. It is about the same price at other places but Bluetooth is not included and an available Bluetooth adapter would cost about $30 more. I am not a member of Costco, so has anyone found the OOMA Telo on sale anywhere else with the Bluetooth capability included.

We've had OOMA phone service for a couple of years now. It's great, however we have Comcast as ISP. We only fax occassionally and have had no problems. There isn't a Costco near here I don't think, we bought our OOMA from Amazon, don't have the bluetooth. Not much help, sorry.

I have OOMA and am happy with it. However, I have not used OOMA to send or receive faxes.

I paid about $200 for the unit without the Bluetooth capability so that seems like a good price at Costco. Maybe you can find a nearby family member or friend with a Costco membership who would be willing to buy it for you.

Are you sure Centry Link offers the 10mb service in your area of TV? I called them the other day and they said they'd look into it. So far no return call (maybe I gave them a wrong number?). I'll give them the benefit of doubt and call back but let me know if you get the 10mb service in your place.

Cool

We're in St. Charles and have the 10MB service with CenturyLink. I would expect any villages started after St. Charles to have at least 10Mb capability.

Default OOMA and Local phone numbers

First, two updates.

Re Getting an OOMA from Costco. I have now learned that non-members can purchase online, and pay only a 5% surcharge, which I think is very reasonable. For me, the main advantage for purchasing from Costco would be to get the built in blue tooth, which does not seem to be included from other stores.

Re 10MB CenturyLink hi speed in TV
I have had many mixed messages from CL as to what service I can expect in Sunset Pointe, varying from 5 MB to 10 MB, both at the same price. I was even told at one point that I also needed to subscribe to a phone line to get the internet servce. I have now placed an order with them, for internet only, and am told I should be able to get 10MB. I will let you know what speed I do get after I move in on Feb 15th.

I still would like to purchase the OOMA for the phone service, but would like to know what exchange 352-xxx I should pick for it to be a local number to TV. There is a selection for Ocala e.g 547 etc, but I do not know if these are local numbers for TV also. I did post this question separately, but did not get any replies yet, so I would appreciate any input on this question from those of you who are using OOMA in TV.

We have Ooma her in TV. We moved from Pasco county here to Lake county and kept the exact same number. We have 352 but then a Pasco exchange, makes no difference, no problems whatsoever .

Why does the exchange matter. From my knowledge of the product ALL calls in the U.S. are available without any surcharge. The product does indicate that you should be able to keep your current phone number.
