Just a thought.
Wondering if I just tossed the grill plates in the oven and let it do a self-clean....kill 2 birds with one stone?

I recently read an article (Mayo Clinic newsletter?) that stated the danger of cleaning your grill with a wire brush. Evidentially the little wires can stick to the grill and transfer to meat which will cause some serious trouble in the intestines. Who knew...... Anyway after I clean the grill with the above wire brush I spray a paper towel with Pam and rub the grill until I'm sure all those little thingees are gone. Just call me Heloise.

The OP asked who cleans not how to clean.
But, I am glad most people do clean their grill.

The home management companies could tell you who cleans grills for homes that are rentals, I rent my home (do not have a grill)but have seen a price list that includes an amount for cleaning grills.

Default ammonia and black garbage bag

I discxovered that if I put my grill or oven racks in a large black plastic bag with a cup of ammonia, tie it up, and let it sit in the sun all day, the goop slides right off with just a bit of brushing.
