This is so true. And yes more whites are killed than blacks every year. People need to check their facts...but we don’t hear about those do we? Of course not because yes in fact the media would be all over that immediately. These spoiled players deserve NO PAY and if I was the coach I would replace every single one of them. And if you did not stand for our flag then get your a** off the court. If you don’t love and respect your country then you have no right to play here. There will be no sports watched in this house!! I am so over all the adult temper tantrums 😡

The interesting thing is Nike is ok to these people even though their workers in 3rd world countries work in horrible conditions.

He lost the money because he was a lousy quarterback and was on his way out.

How is this any different than the white guy in Wisconsin that was stomped and kicked nearly to death which was observed by the police and the criminals weren't arrested and allowed to leave the area??????????

Oh please!!!!!! A white collar criminal usually only takes money, blue collar criminals assault and murder people. What's more important your money or your life? You really can't see the difference?

right now all the NBA thugs are encamped in orlando, physically separated from the real world, a world they know little about. Like many posters, I haven;t watched an NBA game in years. The great majority of these thugs can do one thing and one thing only.. shoot a basketball. I could care less about their political views, which carry as much weight with me as Alec Baldwin's, Barbara Streisand or Julia Dreyfuss. The only danger of ending the season early is that they will leave Orlando and spread to all corners of the world, carrying their anti US ANTIFA message. I only hope that the COVID inspired empty seats are something that will be repeated for them for many years to come

This is about police violence. If anybody thinks seven bullets in the back is appropriate for walking away from a police person then frankly they are part of the problem.

America is on fire “ Wake Up” before it is too late.

Doc Rivers was right to cry as he said, "We have Loved America, why does not America LOVE us back?????
Completely agree with this post.
My wife and I recently moved to the "bubble." After reading this thread I'm starting to believe some of the warnings we were given about the attitudes of many in the bubble. There are so many strong (and sometimes) racist comments made here in TOTV that are concerning to me. To add on to the above post, there are many professional athletes that give millions of dollars to their communities. They build homes, schools, community centers and much more. Do a little research before you call these athletes thugs and such. Do you not understand what is (and has been happening in America) forever? I have many friends that are black, hispanic, asian, indian, etc and also friends that are cops. Have you ever spoken to any of these people and tried to understand their lives? If so, you may feel a bit differently.

Thanks for letting me vent for a minute.

I agree many athletes give back. JJ Watt (WI boy) is a GREAT example. I'm not sure how many athletes give personal wealth... or instead get corporations to contribute. I just don't know.

Here is my issue... athletes are protesting because black people have been shot by police. The shootings are suspect. They are bringing attention to it. They are using their notoriety to put a spotlight on it.

But why aren't they putting the spotlight on all the black people who are shot (and many killed) in many inner cities (NOT by police)? Why are they not trying to reduce the violence that is happening in these cities. The police shootings are a drop in the bucket to the shootings and murders of innocent black victims every day in major cities. There is so much death and violence. Why aren't professional athletes outraged because so many innocent black lives are being snuffed out?

You can't be outraged by the police shootings of black people, and ignore the violence and death that is happening in the streets to black lives every day in our cities.

Yes, sports should have nothing to do with politics. When one prepares to watch a game and is met with an agenda instead, it is like when you go to a Tom Petty rock concert and get bombarded with Jehovahs Witness messages instead. Not fair!
Should be disallowed. No one has the right to hijack a captive audience for their preferred agenda, it doesn’t matter what it is.

Most athletes (regardless of race) continually address all of the deaths you mention (BLM). They are using this police brutality (where there is video) as part of their platform in an attempt to drive change.

I support the police 100%, but they must weed out the bad ones. Like any profession, you can’t turn a blind eye to those that are doing damage. In speaking to my police friends, all of them acknowledge there are power hungry and racist cops in their forces. This is a big part of the problem. I applaud anyone, including athletes, that are trying to drive a movement of change. To anyone that has not listened to some of the emotional comments made by these “thugs”, please google some of them (start with Doc Rivers, coach of the LA Clippers).

Newsflash.... For those that have been in the bubble for many years and may not be exposed to the real America, the white American will soon be a minority in this country. We all need to respect one another and live together peacefully.

You know how people tend to react when you try to force something on them, don’t you? If you’re trying to make a point, that’s not the way to go. What you get is definitely not understanding.

As a retired officers then you know the real numbers and you know that whites criminals are killed more then blacks but I guess that doesn’t fit your narrative
My friend, if you think that any police office will go through an entire career without being face to face with someone twice his size, then your are sadly mistaken. During my 28 years in law enforcement I've dealt with many that fit that description, and yes, I've had to tiussle with some of them to affect the arrest, but not one time did I need to lean on their neck until they stopped breathing, nor did I have to shoot anyone in the back.

Now regarding your claim that whites criminals are killed in greater numbers than black criminals, I'm sure that you have researched that, so I won't argue the point, except to say, that white population in the U.S. is around 61%, compared to 13% of black. It only goes to figure that white criminals are killed in greater numbers, wouldn't you think?
