Woooohoooo, let's get it through the house and hopefully what's his name can sign off on it.

Yes, but back when you were a child, most likely you could hear the horses coming. ;-)

The obsession with turning the clock one hour twice a year makes it appear we’ve turned into a land of cupcakes, melting if the time is adjusted. Be sure you never leave your time zone, don’t travel overseas for business or pleasure. Don’t you wonder how the seasonal residents from different time zones survive the madness? It’s enough to cause the vapors…

So, let's pretend for a moment ....... if we go on DST, will we permanently be in the EST or EDT time zone?

Good to know this is the most important thing Congress has to work on!

Stay on standard time, I’m not happy waking up in the dark!

The farther north one goes, the more the solar clock appears differently. All this due to the analemma motion of the wobble of the earth's spinning axis. if you are on the eastern side of the time zone, the change will have a different influence than if you are on the western edge of the time zone. whatever, its only for 5 months, and there are always ying and yang for all decisions or scenarios.

a lot of nothingness, just put everyone on GMT and be done with it. no more time zone calculations, its just impossible to memorize all the individual changes when traveling. . . . again, just another lazy, unwilling to adapt opinion to make my life easier, as everyone else wants their life.

another opinionated but meaningless guy

I have something approaching a million miles in the air, I have been on 4 continents.

I am probably traveling to Germany in the next few days as I'm part of an Incident response team helping recover from a ransomware attack.

I _still_ HATE traveling east. I.E. Spring forward. 6 hours to Germany takes a couple days to get sorted. Coming back home west after a trip to Europe is a walk in the park(Fall back).

The exception is China. I don't care which way you go, 12 hours time change tends to make you a zombie for a few days.

Leave the time one way or another and I prefer light in the evening. It's stupid to keep flipping it.

In1973, the nation went to full time DST. After one year, that was changed back. The reason was that so many children were killed walking to bus stops or school in the dark, people demanded that it be changed back. Evidently, we haven't learned from history.

As much as we’d like to see it pass, it probably won’t. Why? Because a Florida introduced it…and Florida doesn’t do anything right according to the Beltway Bozos. That’s how petty it’s become.

Instead of working on not getting us in to a war, defending southern border, inflation, gas prices, supply chain, violent crime in cities, etc they worry about permanent time change😳. Just shows how out of touch they are.

You do realize that staffers wrote the bill, another person on their staff summarized it to each senator and they spent probably 15 minutes voting on it. Even the two sponsors probably never spent more than an hour of their time on it.

You're acting as if people can only do one thing at a time during the day. Yes, everything else you mentioned is a priority, but this isn't detracting from any of those issues.

It's amazing..... DST ...nothing changes but the hands on the clock or the numbers on the digital clock. The amount of daylight doesn't change just because someone moves the clock back or ahead one hour.
We just get up later or go to bed earlier because we changed the time. But either way, we don't get an EXTRA hour of daylight just because we did so.

Yeah, but what major, important decision could have been processed in that slot. Waste of everyone’s time these days.
