BLM movement was formed on lies about Trayvon Martin and "hands up don't shoot" Michael Brown. Blacks commit more crimes per capita than any other race in America and so logically they have more interactions with police. Crying racism every time they get arrested is a smokescreen to hide the real problem. |

Putting aside the violence that has occurred in some locations, by a small percentage of those hiding within the various BLM protests and that almost no one supports this lawbreaking, getting to the root of the misdirection, broad-brush painting and outright lies about BLM by so many white people, boils down to one simple thing (as proved by so many posts and threads here on TOTV). That being that most whites know they hold the vast majority of wealth, power and influence and just the thought of being forced to sharing those things by allowing equality for ALL, scares them to their very souls. Our nation was actually founded on one huge and obvious lie, in that the Founding Father's did not really believe that "All men are created equal." Saving the fact for another thread in that they were also only talking about men and not women, the FF's purposely only meant white men and not all men. There were also many who wanted to only include land-holding white men, thus further narrowing who they considered "ALL" men. |

I am tired of being constantly poked in the eye about how one race is sooo mistreated. Contrary to popular belief this is not true. These post are meant to disrupt don’t be sucked in.

You have absolutely hit on the reasons for the abject fear of so many whites, that I mentioned in my previous post. Not that they will ever have the honesty to admit it though. |

After reading the posts I’ve noticed that some people are in favor of BLM, some are not. I believe BLM is comprised of 3 elements, those that truly feel that Blacks are at a big disadvantage and something needs to be done (like MLK); those that use BLM to fill their pockets with cash (like Bernie Madoff); and those that hate the way of life in the US and want to destroy it (like Fidel Castro). Fortunately or unfortunately I find that those elements (and probably many more) are exhibited in most aspects of life. You find the truly compassionate that want to help those in need; the predators that want to take advantage of any and everyone; and those that want to change and/or destroy anything they don’t agree on. I guess that’s humanity. Interesting word considering some aspects I don’t believe are truly humane. I do believe that most of us contain some if not all of those aspects. We want to help those close to us; we take advantage of others to get ahead (consciously or unconsciously); and we strive to change what we don’t agree upon (left to right, right to left, etc). When I read a post or response that I consider controversial to my beliefs I simply say – damn that person is really stupid (the same thing they probably say about my responses) but then I smile and say – hey, we are what we are.

They are merely pointing out a historic and systemic injustice. Why hide it? To pretend equality that is incomplete is compete?

Watched one inning of Yankee-Washington. Then turned off TV and called MLB.TV to cancel my subscription. Sports is not about politics for me.

There is a HUGE difference between supporting the Marxist organization, BLM and supporting the concept that black lives matter. If one is in the former category, then one would be a "useful idiot" as Stalin "affectionately" referred to them. ![]() Fred |

People like to pretend - "What if I were a celebrated athlete, a respected leader, a role model, a thought leader, an avante guard, leading edge operator pushing cultural change". After they are done pretending, then they are curious about their life background. Take golf, for instance, everyone loved Arnold Palmer and knew all about him. There was a thirst for Palmer to opinionate on the world. His opinions carried weight and could slightly move society forward - so also Mickey Mantle, Mohammed Ali and today LeBron James. It's the "HERO" principle, people desire heroes for better or worse.
So today's baseball players are doing what players and heroes do. They MAKE POWERFUL statements on IMPORTANT social issues. It helps people resolve these issues in their OWN minds. It is healthy and SHOULD continue, and WILL continue like the tide that will NOT stop! |

Are they tearing down Columbus statues because he was a CATHOLIC imperialist? I see they want to tear down statue of Father Junipero Serra in California. Apparently monestaries are now being viewed as concentration camps for indigenous peoples....by CATHOLIC monks.....
