Re: Quest for Dress (pictures)
Hi,
About the picture: I decided to move the picture out after its two week run. I appreciate all the kind comments. I felt like after everything you helped with you should see how it all turned out. Thank you. I just got a little bashful and decided to get rid of it. I guess one of these days I will get used to cyberspace. But it was really nice meeting all of you. Boomer

Re: Quest for Dress (pictures)
Thanks for the kind words. I can't believe it took me until the 848th post.
And V'07, I am still working on that ponytail thing but he just laughs at me when I try to talk him into it. But I am not giving up. Boomer

Re: Quest for Dress (pictures)
Boomer, my vote is no ponytail for Mr. Boomer, he looks very sweet just as he is. A very good friend of ours cut his ponytail off about 2 years ago and now looks sooooo much younger. But then Mr. Boomer should wear his hair for you and not the general public.

Re: Quest for Dress (pictures)
Oh Mr. Boomer will not grow a ponytail. I just pretend that I think he will. Mr. Boomer wears his hair for Mr. Boomer.
And re. the dress, I will tell you what. I liked it, too. And we all know how hard it is to find something for a wedding. I think this one would work just fine for the Mother role, too, unless it has to be a long dress. If you find yourself on such a quest for a dress, and you like this one, just look back at the info that is linked in this thread. Nordstroms.com was great. And the shoes really are a perfect match. The shoes are on here in a link, too, in one of the last posts I wrote about how my daughter dragged me to the mall to get shoes. But my feet hurt like hell by the end of the night. But I did not care. The earrings are Monet and they have little stones that don't show in the picture. They match, too. So hey, if you like the outfit and you have to do a wedding thing, maybe this stuff's for you, too. And think of all the shopping time you can save. Gee. It could be kind of like a TOTV uniform or something. And thanks again for all the help and nice comments. Boomer

Re: Quest for Dress (pictures)
Ditto what Chelsea said!
You do make a lovely couple! You're both gorgeous and the dress is gorgeous! I vote we make it the Villages uniform. Instead of the Red Hats we could be the Nordstrom Dress babes.

Re: Quest for Dress (pictures)
You know, now that finally after a guzillion or more posts, few of them short, very few, Boomer has been outed, and Mr. Boomer, too, a question comes to mind.
All you girls have been so wonderful helping me shop and we talked about all that other stuff along the way, too, so the pictures just had to happen. But you know what I have been thinking about? Well, there is another thread going on here right now where uujudy is asking for help with mattress shoppiing. So what I want to know, Judy, is will you be posing with your mattress? Hey, uu, I showed you all my dress. Can't wait, uuj! . . .Hey, is anybody on here old enough to remember those mattress commercials on televison where Joey Heatherton sang a song about her "Perfect Sleeper" I think it was? Why in the world do I remember all this :edit: from so long ago and then cannot figure out where I put my checkbook? Boomer

Re: Quest for Dress (pictures)
Now I have never met UuJudy but in my mind that is how I picture her. I thought that Boomer would look more like Jennifer Anniston but instead she looks like ...you know, that gorgeous star with the sculptured chin, perfect nose and darling blue eyes. WHAT IS HER NAME! DANG.

Re: Quest for Dress (pictures)
Uh, I hate to say this Boomer, but I wrote some of those commercials. or I should say rewrote. The owner of the agency (who shall remain nameless) had a great crush on her and, ahem, more. We then got the unique opportunity to go on to write for Susan Anton. Serta was my account. There are not words to describe the klutziness and stupidity of this woman. I can say that because I had to direct her. We changed the selling point to a fitness message. Unfortunately Susan Anton couldn't even ride a bike. Arggggg! Those were the days!
WOW 07, does that ever bring back memories. I have to say most of them good. Thanks for posting that.
