You slept for ten hours and didn't get up during the night? Haven't done that since I was 12.
Wow, I'm impressed with your bladder.

That's amazing. I sleep about 6-7 hours a night and am up frequently. Of course I take a large glass of iced tea to the bedroom before I retire and sip it through the night.

Brightspot,
Congradulations! You were tired.
Now that I am retired,I love my bed and I love to sleep but I usually take a few bathroom breaks. (but go right back to sleep!)

Today, I listened to my iPod for a couple of hours and rocked out. Great exercise!

I have so much end-of-the-year school work to be done. Papers to be corrected, grades to be entered on the computer, student personal records to be updated, supplies to be ordered....

But I did none of that today...

Instead, I went to a barn party and wild game bbq. I sampled venison, steel head (trout), goose, elk, pheasant, and mule deer. Next year they are adding squirrel. Not sure I'm into eating squirrel. I overheard a friend asking if they would consider adding groundhog. I DRAWTHE LINE HERE!

IMHO, the best dishes of all were my homemade, from scratch mac and cheese and a friend's taco salad.

I didn't think twice about going off my diet...there's always tomorrow...

Oops...tomorrow's Mother's Day and I'm spending it at my daughter's house with another bbq...

Oh well, there's always Monday.

Oh I am so glad I am retired! I remember all those jobs and working all weekend to get them done.
I was very poor when I was little and ate all that stuff. It takes a lot of squirrels to make a meal! Mom wasn't a very good cook and I have no desire to hunt for my food.

Happy Mother's day!
Happy Mother's Day everybody!!!

Today I cook my hubby's favorite dinner, did laundry and helped him clean out the garage. How is that a good thing for me you ask? Campaigning to get the golf cart I fell in love with! That will be very good for me.

I went to a wonderful brunch with my hubby, daughter, son-in-law, and 2 grandkids. Then tucked my 2yr old grandson into bed,for his nap - he folds his hands, puts them up to his forehead, squeezes his eyes shut, and says"nana, papa, apples". I'm lovin today!

Today was one of those days I will always remember. We drove down to our daughter's farm, with our son, who is always too busy working, to breathe. I got to spend the day with my wonderful husband, our son, daughter and son-in-law and my/our absolutely amazing grandchildren. We had a fantastic meal, great conversation and lots of fun with together. I am so lucky to have such a beautiful family. It really touches my soul.

I stuck to my diet today!

The last 5 days have been :edit:.

First, we had a Teacher Appreciation Pizza Luncheon last Wednesday.

Then, on Friday, a dessert pot luck day at school. Friday evening, at our school carnival, I ate the most marvelous bbq (slow cooked all day right outside the school in a huge homemade bbq barrel type grill). After smelling the aroma all day long my willpower was shot!

Saturday was a barn party and wild game bbq with tons of homemade salads (very fattening and very very good) and desserts that were to die for. The wild game...well...

I don't even want to think about Mother's Day and the lip smacking bbq-ed chicken, corn on the cob, alfredo noodles, homemade rolls, artichoke dip, California rolls, and Magic Cookie Bars. Groaaaaaaaaan!

Today I started all over again...
