Mr Samhass and I had Chels and Beady over to play mahjong and discuss the future of the universe. We also ate vast quantities of food while we mulled over the complexity of life and discussed why some people fear change so intensely. Life is good.

Yesterday I had lunch with my 85 year old Aunt who golfs, curls and does volunteer work at the hospital. She is so much fun. She is tired of Amazon walking tours, so is going on a river boat cruise of the far East in a couple of months. What a great inspiration.

BF

Brings to mind my 90 year old father in law who continues to farm. Every day he is out in the fields or tending cattle. He amazes me!

Isn't it wonderful Bright, to see people so active at that age. Let's hope people are marvelling at us in 20 years.

Life is good here in TV
Last night I watched an incredible lighting show while sitting on my lanai. It was some distance away because I heard no thunder but the sky was a veritble light show.Amazing natural spectacular. A perfect ending to a day spent with good friends, good food and good conversation. I'm blessed.

Today, I stopped to watch one of those little lizards sunning himself on a rock. I think he lives on my island in the back. I named him Gregory. My cats call him Greg. :dontknow:

The best thing I did today was to get an internet connection at the cottage (I'm in Canada). It is dial-up because there is no cable and very slow! But I just couldn't stand the idea of five days without knowing what my peeps are doing.

I can look in on people and see Sammy cooking, Beady sitting on the lanai, Chels playing with Gregory, Susan&Tom cleaning and packing, Nonie in the cellar, Donna trying to talk John into buying a mansion, Bright playing with her grandkids, Ronda rocking on, Marti walking by Lake Erie, HB and Kathie planning their trips back to TV, etc., etc. TOTV is a wonderful way to keep in touch.

I sat in the hot tub for an hour with Fireboy, looking at the Lake and counting my blessings. I think this is the happiest part of my life so far. I'm having a great time in Canada, and look forward so much to being back on the Reservation.

Hi Bare,

I read your post and just smiled. I felt very happy for you. I loved your synopsis of what everybody was doing.

Sounds like you and Fireboy had a wonderful time in the hot tub, just being with each other. "I think this is the happiest part of my life so far."

And the other good thing you did for yourself - internet connection - was just another way of being good to yourself.

Looking forward to seeing you back home in TV and hearing all about your vacation in Canada. Would love to know more about your world travelling aunt.

Miss ya,
HB

BF

Yes, you know me well. Saturday night I'll be enjoying the boys again. It'll be my last time until I return home from TV mid August. Gee, I'll miss them so much.

But I'll be able to enjoy my other grandson all summer. He lives in Leesburg and I'm looking forward to seeing him, spending time with him, and babysitting! He's 3 and a joy to be around.

Today, I had a long long conversation with an old, much loved friend. One of my GF's in college. We shared many, many laughs.

p.s. don't you just love talking in initials! OMG! IAAM! (I made that last one up.) :joke:

It is 90 degrees at the cottage today, very unseasonal for Canada in early June. I think someone in TV must have sent some hot weather north for me to enjoy. But it really cools off when the sun sets.
Thank you Sammy for the rainbow pictures.

Before I go in the hot tub, I think I'll go check out the LSL web cam and see if any peeps I know are hanging around The Landing. Or perhaps I can see Chels on patrol in the buffalo fields.
