I seem to be a love bug magnet. Of more than one kind, too and not for NOTHING.

I had some love bugs attached to my leg while shopping at Walmart yesterday and did not notice it for a while. I swept them off near the greeting cards where September has been a very busy month for these cards. My late younger brother had a romance with a woman back around 1982 and we only found out that a baby had been involved in 2015. We found this out after he had died from a long alcohol addiction in late 2014. In 2015, we discovered a whole new branch of the family tree with a niece and a grand niece and nephew. All with birthdays in September and one has the same birthday as a dear female friend I met here in the Villages.

They may come to the Villages next year or the year after that for a short visit. Or I might go back West for a while to connect with them if my family situation changes a bit.

Good morning, everyone! It is Saturday, September 22. Off to work for me today. Hope the rest of you have a NOTHING kind of day.
I'll definitely be doing NOTHING today. Mrs. K and her mother just left for the airport. The house is all mine until Wednesday.

I might be leaving for a job on Monday and returning Thursday. That's still up in the air though.

Nope. Fire season is NOTHING but over. The weather has definitely turned. Anyone still on a fire is just doing rehab and repair. I would imagine that has to be just about complete too..

Another Deer? I can't imagine what you will encounter when you get to The Villages? I hope it is one of the Little Critters like Elli May Clampett would say and that you NOTHING but avoid our larger species in Jurrasic Park South.

That is quite a story Tal. Sorry to hear about your brother but it is kind of exciting to learn you have new family. We have so little family left but we are NOTHING but grateful for those we have.

The crushed armadillos are the only ones I have seen, I guess because they are nocturnal. NOTHING but sad. I do enjoy getting a glimpse of the alligators though, they sometimes sun themselves on the banks of the ponds.

One of our friends had a six foot Black Racer on the dashboard of his Golf Cart the other day, not bad if you see it first but if I was driving and it showed up, Houston We've Got A Problem.

It was kind of a blessing when he passed as it was dealing with the problems of a die hard alcoholic for about 16 years. Lots of AA meetings and the like but he would never quite commit to all the 12 steps. His organs just gave out but he did make it to the closest hospital grounds. He collapsed on their lawn. We had to kick him out of the house numerous times, Baker acted him, etc. NOTHING worked. He was a brilliant computer programmer. Could get jobs paying $120,000 fairly easily but would start drinking again for some reasons he only knew.

Also lost a paranoid schizophrenic brother-in-law (sister of a different brother) about the same time due to a love of guns and a refusal to give them up while staying in someone else's house. Also was kicked out of house because of his behavior. He eventually shot himself. The end of 2014 was a hard part of a year. And then along came this new branch of the family in 2015. Just what God sent us to deal with all this tragedy.

NOTHING but a wonderful way to look at it. I too believe there is a plan even though sometimes it is a rocky road to get there.

Very rocky. A lot has happened to me. But some years are much more eventful than others. Like the 1983 Memorial Day mudslide at Bower's Mansion in Washoe Valley. I was working with Rich at the Bower's Mansion concession when an avalanche fell into a mountain lake which flooded from the overflow and sent a 50 feet wall of water down a canyon. Down into homes and picnickers in Davis Creek. About 1/2 a mile or so from us. There were many families at Bower's Mansion at the time but thankfully the water went down a different side of the Mountain.

Quite a sight that huge wall of mud in the road.

Not for NOTHING I sometimes tell fellow walkers not to be around me as a sinkhole might open up right next to me.

It is usually the people near me that have the various problems though.

My Dad handled the insurance claims of several of the houses that were damaged or ruined by the Davis Creek Mudslide of Memorial Day 1983. Several trails, much to see at Davis Creek | NevadaAppeal.com

I don't like seeing gators sunning themselves on the golf courses when I'm golfing. They can run much faster than I can.
Some people actually go look for lost balls in ponds. I do NOTHING to aggravate gators.

Thought I would drop in and say hello, hello. Nothing to report or share right now. I made a concoction for lunch of kidney beans, onions, carrots, meatballs in chicken broth with a little olive oil, Worcester and balsamic vinegar.
