Hahaha! 07, you were right! I drink wine out of a box, out of a paper bag, out of a coffee cup...

I think wine-in-a-box is the invention of a thoughtful and kindly genius.

Boomer, remember darkrooms? This is the way it was explained to me in the photography part of my life: Back in the days of the silver image, the newest invention was to package darkroom chemicals in boxes that would let you release the chemicals without letting the air in to oxidize them. The wine folks (many of whom spent too many hours inhaling darkroom chemicals) thought the boxes should work for wine, too. Voila! Drunken darkroom developers!

I have no idea if this is true. I do know that darkroom chemicals in a box and wine in a box happened around the same time, but which came first? Who, hic, cares? hic

And 'Geezeritas' was the one I liked best, too. We could get a trivia team and have shirts that say Geezeritas and look like bowling shirts. We will have to think about what color the shirts will be. Maybe pink and lime green....not sure....pink with lime green lettering??? Lime green with pink lettering??? Neither of those??? Maybe a nice turquoise with lime green. It seems like those shirts have to have lime green somewhere. Oh well, we will have to think on it.

(Hey! I dvr'd Castle tonight and I was watching it just now and ran in here during the commercials to read TOTV. Uhhh....I forgot.... I can fast-forward thru those commercials.)

Boomerita the Geezerita
I want to join the Geezeritas! In the 70's I had a bright pink bowling shirt with a very colorful parrot embroidered on it, it would be perfect for the club. I wonder if my mother can remember where she bought that shirt.

Sorry for the late response I'm out working in the middle of nowhere, well actually the middle of the Aleutian Islands, Cold Bay, Alaska , and I just saw this post. The phone service is OTS and the internet is very very slow.

UU, thanks for educatin' me, hic. All this time, I thought the dual introduction was because if you drank a whole box of wine, you'd want to find a dark room!
