The current variant, BA5?, is better at getting passed the vaccine, but is currently less deadly. Sadly, as more people let their guard down and get even mild cases, that provides incubators for more variants. And one of those variants could be more deadly and bypass the vaccine. So, unlike polio, smallpox and others, instead of beating this down with science, we are breeding it into ever more dangerous variants, because people got the right to put everyone else’s lives at risk.

Except for the fact that viruses typically naturally mutate to weaker strains in order to remain viable...
