yes, after spending $ 1,000.00 on all the food. I could not do the diet. They had me on a 600 calorie diet. I just could not do it. They had me taking B 12 shots and a lot of vitamins. I bought pudding, soup mixes , juices. To me it was not worth it. I did not lose anything. Weight Watchers is really the way to go !
Good Luck.

Oh yes, if you follow the 750 calorie diet you will lose a lot of weight. It's a strict diet, no cheating. Doesn't sound like a lot of calories but I did it, twice and I was not hungry. It is not easy if you are with someone who wants to eat out, drink and loves ice cream...hehe

If you think you can just limit yourself to 750 calories without the HCG, you might lose five pounds but you won't lose 20+ in a month or so. I was extremely pleased losing an average 24 pounds each time. I only gained about six pounds back before I went on it the second time and I have maintained my weight just by watching my calories. I couldn't have done it on other weight loss programs, my metabolism was messed up probably due to all the other diets. Having said that I met a lot of people with success stories and that was the reason I decided to try it. Again if you want to lose you can not cheat. Good luck!

Years ago. when I was young, I did a "diet" that required a 600 calories per day. It claimed "IF" you stayed on it you'd lose weight quickly. Well I did lose the weight I wanted off BUT it came on very quickly after I went back to eating normally again. I did this "diet" 2X actually---once in my early 30's and again about 10 yrs later. I lost the 2nd time as well until the authorities closed the "clinic" down (it was a chain). I will tell you that I believe in doing this, I ruined my metabolism. I'm now hypo-thyroid, T2d, insulin-resistant and more. I can "diet" and exercise all I want but the weight refuses to come off. I believe I now have what is known as adrenal fatigue. My endocrine system needs healing. I for one would NOT do a food plan as you're inquiring about as I do not believe it's healthy. IF I'd have known "back when" what I know now I think I might have gone about things much differently but I wanted the lbs off and I wanted them off quickly. NOT a good plan!!!

Notgolfer: thank you for that honest and open assessment. this board is over loaded with all types of suggestions concerning diet and its health benefits. Like many issues this is a very complex one because it deals with one's health and medical science too often is only providing their best guess.

if diets worked then why are so many new ones offered each year. If people are over eating then perhaps they need to determine why before they attempt a diet. Once they determine why they need to visit with their doctor to assess what type of dietary needs will meet the goals of controlling weight while keep them healthy.

In my view we should keep an eye out for our health but I'll be darned if at this stage in my life I will be a slave to willpower.

Moderate exercise, easing habits, and a lot of laughter

I work out at least 3 times a week. In order for me just to meet the energy requirements for exercising I need 2,000 calories. Common sense tell you that a diet of 600 calories is creating starvation. When a person is starving the body feeds off itself and if permitted to last too long will harm one's body.

Let me just add one thing. No matter 'how' you lose weight, if you go back to eating what you ate before....you will re-gain the weight.

I agree on "most" points you make here! For me, it's NOT a matter of willpower but of making choices. My metabolism is damaged, as I earlier stated. In looking around I believe it to be true for a good majority of folks otherwise why are the (me included) over-weight and why hasn't eating healthy (as I think I have over the past 15 to 20 years) along with the exercise made us (me) skinny/thin?? Our bodies metabolize foods differently, depending on our 'make-up'. MUCH of our food today has chemicals, hormones and more in them...IF we'd try to eat what is truly organic and fresh perhaps, and this is just that..perhaps we'd be far healthier as a country. Read the thread on High Fat Diets!! There are some good points made in the comments there.
