Default Inexpensive breakfast restaurant

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive restaurant for a simple breakfast?

If you are talking about The Villages, I'd pick Katy Bells during the week and Saturdays, $4.99. Now if you are talking outside TV, and I hate to give away a best kept secret, and you have a hugh appetite try Red's in Hernando Fl., about an hour from here. Always very busy and open for only breakfast and lunch.

I do love my breakfast, and I have found that Perkins on 466 by Walmart does a great job. Their "Magnificent 7" is two eggs, bacon or sausage, and 3 pancakes for $4.99 is a good bargain, and I think their pancakes are better than IHOP's. Coffee is not included, so breakfast runs about $7.50. IHOP has a nice "senior citizen" breakfast selection. Their senior omelette is a smaller version of their regular omelette but is more than enough food and comes with pancakes. Also about the same price as Perkins. And of course, Toojays does a real good job most of the time. For a great bagel, try Brooklyn Water Bagels in the Best Buy shopping plaza on Rolling Acres Rd.

You might consider giving The Village Eatery a try. Sandy and I have been there a couple of times. Kinda an older-type Mom and Pop place. Check with them about their current b-fast specials - last time we were there, they had a Monday-through-Saturday special Breakfast for 2: Each person gets 2 eggs, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausage links, and the choice of 2 pancakes or 2 pieces of french toast. Total for the two meals.......$7.77. Any drinks are extra. A great deal in my mind, especially considering what you get and the portion sizes (everything was BIG!). Tasted great, too! Again, verify what their current deals are.

Located in the south end of La Plaza Grande next to SS, a few doors up from the Villages Golf Cart store (near Ace Hdwe).

We've been eating out alot because of a kitchen remodel...
Done Perkins, Katies, Cracker Barrels, TooJays, McD's, Billys', The Villages Eatery and found the BEST & CHEAPEST to be Athens in SS.

Steak n' Shake on CR 466 advertises all you can eat pancakes for $3.99.

Anyone been to the Village Eatery lately near Winn Dixie? They used to be reasonable but I haven't been there for awhile. How about Sonrise in Southern Trace Shopping Center off of CR 466

I have tried all the suggestions posted so far and each is very good, but IMHO, Katie Bells is the best. Their $4.88 breakfast specials can't be beat (I particularly like the Steak-N-Eggs on Mondays). They also have bloody marys, mimosas, juice or coffee for $.88.

I'm not a big fan of their buffetts on Saturday and Sunday (too much food so I tend to overeat, plus i've never been a big fan of breakfast served from warming trays.
