I don't know about the law in FL, but in many states if the Health Department shuts down a restaurant they are required to place a placard on the door saying so and that the business cannot be reopened until an inspection is made on so-and-so date.

I called there this week for takeout, before I read thi post, and the little chinese lady answered telling me that they "had a gas leak in the kitchen". Either way, I am done. Thanks for the heads up.
PS- Was behind Cheng's Chinese one day and they had their back door propped open. IMO: Don't eat there. |

Just went online and looked at the inspection report, after much "digging". 10 live roaches found- in 1 visit?! They were shut down for the MANY violations by the Department of Health. Just gross! So glad I read this! Thanks again!!!!

Do leases for commercial-restaurant property like that contain provisions for terminating the lease of the restaurant is shut down for being vermin-occupied like that?
For the sake of the other merchants and patrons, I'd want to be able to evict them! |

If China Buffett was affected what does that say about other stores restaurants along that strip?
I viewed the inspection report for the last three years and there have not been many restaurants that missed the health inspectors axe..... |

Search for others https://www.myfloridalicense.com/wl1...e=0&SID=&brd=H When you get to the list of reports for a restaurant click on the date to get the report.

Oh, and I should mention that the violations shown above are only two of the MANY noted on the report.

Did it ever reopen?
I'm back up north. Just wonder if they reopened?

I ate there once and the food was not hot in the serving trays. I never went back.

They're ads are in the paper, so I would assume they're open. Most people would have no idea about the problem either. Soooo, probably business as usual. YUCK
